    Welcoming compassionate staff beautiful facility

I moved my mom in recently and I'm very pleased - the staff are exceptional: welcoming, patient, compassionate, and great at communicating with family. The facility is beautiful and spotless, meals are delicious, memory-care and on-site therapy keep residents active and well cared for, and the move-in and pandemic support were smooth and reassuring.

About Ranson Ridge at the Villages of Mecklenburg

Ranson Ridge at the Villages of Mecklenburg in Huntersville, NC, offers seniors a supportive place to live, where staff are always available, day or night, to assist with things like bathing, dressing, keeping track of medicine, and even helping those who have trouble getting around or need manual feeding. The facility has 100 licensed assisted living units that come as private suites, studios, or shared spaces, and all have safety features like grab bars and designs that help prevent falls. Ranson Ridge has services for people who need more support-residents with mild cognitive problems, memory concerns from Alzheimer's or dementia, or conditions like Parkinson's receive extra care from trained staff, and the grounds are fully secured, which helps everyone feel safer.

It works as a Continuing Care Retirement Community, so residents can move through stages of care, from independent living to assisted living, memory care, nursing home care, and even home care if needed. There's round-the-clock emergency response, help with incontinence or diabetes, and support for people who are non-ambulatory. Residents who only need a short stay can use respite care. Meals are planned by chefs with nutrition in mind, and specialized diets like pureed or dementia-friendly menus are available, with staff helping during mealtimes and offering snacks from an on-site shop. For people who want something to do, there's a busy calendar of scheduled activities, music programs, computer and fitness classes, and events meant to help residents stay socially, mentally, and emotionally active.

The community features a games room, large screen TVs, garden and landscaped walking paths, decks, porches, and a library, and residents can take computer learning classes or join family support meetings. There's internet access, common areas for gathering, a beauty and barber shop, and laundry help. The fitness room and wellness program encourage movement and help residents stay healthy, and there are specialized rehabilitation programs, including a Pre-registration Program to get ready for surgery recovery. Pets like dogs and cats are welcome, and the staff help transport residents to appointments or for groceries. Case management and custom care plans give tailored help, and there's assistance with things like continence management, weight control, and transportation around the facility. Ranson Ridge is licensed and surveyed by local government, but it doesn't take Medicare unless certified, and the staff, known for their kindness, work to keep everyone engaged, comfortable, and as independent as possible.
