    Longtime resident praises caring staff

I've been a resident for ten years and this is a solid, family-like community. The CNAs and medical staff are caring, attentive, always available, and communicate well - medications are monitored and weekly outings/activities keep us social. Rooms and dining are comfortable and modern, my family is grateful, and I feel reassured about a lifelong stay.

    Summary of reviews

Brookstone Haven of Randleman elicits a widely mixed set of impressions. Positive commentary centers on the facility’s caregiving staff and communal environment: many families and long-term residents describe compassionate, available caregivers, an attentive medication routine, and a family-like atmosphere that supports resident socialization. The community is also noted for well-maintained rooms, a pleasant dining area, and an encouraging interior design that several observers find modern and uplifting.

Care and staffing show important strengths alongside operational variability. Reviewers frequently praise CNAs and clinical personnel for hands-on assistance, teamwork, and responsiveness; some families report consistent medication monitoring and weekly outings that support resident engagement. However, other accounts indicate operational weaknesses such as delays in incontinence care, instances of resident falls, and concerns about transfer safety. There are also criticisms concerning staff training and certification compliance as well as workplace-culture issues that may affect retention and internal reporting. These contradictions suggest uneven performance across shifts or units rather than a uniformly consistent standard of care.

Dining and activities appear to be another area of contrast. The physical dining space and meal service receive favorable comments for ambiance, and scheduled outings and indoor activities are mentioned as meaningful opportunities for social interaction. At the same time, multiple comments highlight a repetitive menu and limited variety, which may affect resident satisfaction with meals over time.

Facility maintenance and management are similarly mixed. The physical plant — rooms, common areas, and décor — is often described positively, but there are recurring sanitation and pest-control concerns that families viewed as significant. Reviewers also identified inconsistent documentation and family communication, as well as several serious claims raising potential regulatory or legal questions. Given these divergent reports, prospective residents and families should conduct an on-site tour, ask to review recent inspection and pest-control records, request information on staff certification and staffing ratios, inquire about incident-reporting and complaint-resolution procedures, and observe meal service and activity schedules to form a balanced assessment of whether the community’s strengths align with their priorities.

    About Brookstone Haven of Randleman

Brookstone Haven of Randleman sits in Randleman, NC and offers assisted living and memory care services for seniors who want a safe and social place to live while keeping their independence. The staff is there 24 hours a day, always around to help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, grooming, and taking medicine, and there's licensed caregivers available if someone needs more medical attention or has trouble moving around or needs help with incontinence. The apartments come in different styles like private, semi-private, studios, and even a two-bedroom option, all with high-speed internet, cable TV, private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and telephones if that's something a person wants. The meals are made under nutritionist guidance, served three times a day plus snacks, and the dining areas are shared, whether someone wants the modern community dining room, a private spot for guests, or a quiet space to eat.

The activity director is full-time and works hard to run programs that keep residents active and social with things like games, movie nights, art classes, music, exercise, and trips into the wider community, and the patio and garden areas give a nice spot to relax or meet with others outdoors. There are places to read, play games, or work on hobbies, and the building offers scheduled transportation, help with appointments, and daily housekeeping and laundry. Residents who need memory care for Alzheimer's or dementia get personal attention and a plan made for their needs, and there's support for families, too, with respite care that can let a caregiver take a break when they need it. Care plans are made for each person, working with medical professionals, and the staff will help with everything from meals for special diets to emergency alert systems in case someone needs fast help, while community amenities include a fitness room, library, activity room, spa, movie theater, easy walking paths, and outdoor spaces. Fees vary based on care and room choice, with extra charges for different care levels, and the overall rating stands at 2.3 based on a few reviews, so it's always wise to visit and check how things feel. Brookstone Haven aims to give residents a feeling of belonging and dignity, supporting those who want a balance of freedom, safety, and plenty of things to do in one place.
