    Excellent care and beautiful community

I moved my wife into this beautiful, brand-new senior living community next to Summit Park and have been very pleased. The staff - nurses, therapists and caregivers - are caring, professional and excellent with memory care and assisted living needs. The building is bright, clean and resort-like with balconies, a lovely courtyard, bocce/putting and easy outdoor access; activities, social events and nearby restaurants keep life active. Management and concierge were helpful through the move, and monthly resident meetings mean our voices are heard - I would recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

The Summit of Blue Ash presents as a new, well-appointed senior living community with many physical strengths: modern construction, resort-like amenities, generous shared spaces, a pleasant courtyard and strong proximity to Summit Park and local restaurants. Multiple accounts praise the environment — bright common areas, comfortable apartments with balconies, and a robust activities calendar that includes outings, live music and social events. Rehabilitation services are highlighted as a clear strength in many narratives; in-house physical and occupational therapy and a named partner therapy group receive repeated positive mention.

Care and staffing impressions are mixed. A number of families describe attentive, compassionate nursing and caregiver teams, positive clinical responsiveness, and strong therapy outcomes. Conversely, reviewers also cite inconsistent staffing levels, use of agency personnel, and turnover that can affect continuity of care. There are specific concerns about staff conduct and communication tone in certain interactions; a small subset of reviews described serious conduct concerns that families felt warranted further inquiry. Memory-care experiences range widely — some families report an experienced, compassionate memory-care team and good outcomes, while others describe the program as underprepared for more challenging dementia behaviors and indicate that care practices and environment can be inadequate for advanced needs.

Dining and housekeeping receive both praise and criticism. Many residents and families found the meals tasty and the dining experience pleasant, but others raised issues with meal quality consistency, texture and special-diet accommodations (notably gluten-free handling and timeliness). Sanitation and maintenance concerns appear intermittently in reviews, including odors and specific cleanliness issues in certain areas; these accounts suggest uneven performance in housekeeping and facilities management rather than facility-wide failure. There are also isolated maintenance reports (e.g., public restroom repairs) that prospective families should verify during visits.

Management and administration are described in divergent terms. Several reviewers applaud engaged leadership, responsive concierge services and helpful admissions staff; others report unprofessional interactions, billing disputes, and difficulty resolving administrative concerns. At least one family sought legal counsel related to a billing disagreement, indicating that administrative processes and communication can break down in higher-stakes situations. Ownership and management changes were noted, which may contribute to perceived instability or transitional kinks in operations.

Notable patterns for prospective residents and families: the community's physical plant, programming and therapy services are clear assets, and many residents report positive daily life and social engagement. However, operational consistency — especially staffing continuity, memory-care preparedness, special-diet handling, sanitation oversight, and administrative/billing transparency — appears uneven. When considering the Summit of Blue Ash, families would be wise to observe current staffing during meals and activities, ask for specifics on memory-care protocols and staff training, request documentation of cleaning/maintenance routines, and clarify billing policies and dispute-resolution processes before committing.

Community amenities are quite varied, with an indoor pool, gym and fitness center, golf simulator, bocce ball, fire pit, and both indoor and outdoor recreation areas, plus salon, barbershop, concierge, housekeeping, linen services, a chapel, worship room, theater, library, billiards table, community kitchen, computer room, Wi-Fi, parking for residents and guests, and landscaped garden patios and walking paths, making it easy to stay active or just enjoy quiet time. Family support and education are available, and staff work with families and healthcare providers for coordinated care. Residents living at home can receive non-medical home care, companionship, and help from trained aides.

A $3,000 entry fee applies, and the facility operates under state license number 2950R.
