    Clean, bright community; attentive staff

I'm very pleased with this well-run, very clean one-floor community - roomy rooms, a bright dining area with many windows, and good food (my mom eats well). The staff are professional, kind, attentive and responsive; therapy is effective and operations and communication run smoothly. I feel my papaw is safe and well cared for and I gladly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for this facility are mixed, with a clear split between families who experienced attentive, competent care and those who reported significant operational problems. Positive feedback emphasizes a single-floor layout, roomy rooms, bright common areas, and a generally clean interior. Many families praised individual staff members โ€” nurses and aides described as compassionate or highly skilled โ€” and several highlighted successful therapy outcomes and an accommodating admissions process.

Care quality feedback varies considerably. Positive accounts describe effective rehabilitation, courteous caregiving, and residents who eat well and appear comfortable. Conversely, other families raised concerns about delays in attending to resident requests, inconsistent personal-care routines (including bathing and meal assistance), and instances of inadequate clinical oversight. Medication management emerged as a recurrent operational risk: reviewers described inconsistency in administration and access, including situations where medication delivery was delayed or limited for nonclinical reasons. Prospective families should consider verifying the facilityโ€™s medication-administration protocols and oversight arrangements with on-site clinicians.

Staff strengths are frequently noted: helpful, professional support staff and at least a few nurses who elicited strong praise. At the same time, staffing variability and reports of slow responses to call lights suggest that staffing levels or allocation may not consistently meet resident needs. Communication with families is another area of divergence โ€” some reviewers found staff responsive and informative, while others reported missed calls, poor follow-up, and difficulty obtaining clear answers about care plans.

Dining and daily life show a mix of satisfactory and inconsistent experiences. The dining room is described as pleasant and well-lit, and some residents enjoy the meals. However, there are repeated notes about inconsistent meal quality, reliance on frozen entrรฉes, limited beverage service with meals, and menu repetition. Activity and noise management are also mixed: some reviewers appreciated a calm, well-run environment, while others reported high noise levels, loud televisions, and sleep disruption for residents.

Facility and management concerns include sanitation inconsistencies in certain rooms or areas, billing opacity, and gaps in how personal property and post-discharge or post-death matters are handled. One reviewer indicated a regulatory complaint was filed; families who have serious concerns are advised to check the facilityโ€™s inspection and complaint history. Additionally, reviewers described uneven discharge and transition planning, including instances where follow-up care or physician involvement after incidents appeared limited.

In sum, this facility appears to deliver very good care for some residents, particularly when therapy needs and supportive staff alignment are present. However, there are recurring operational weaknesses around staffing consistency, responsiveness, medication administration, communication, dining consistency, and administrative transparency. Prospective residents and their families should arrange an in-person visit (including observing multiple shifts if possible), review medication and staffing protocols, ask for recent inspection records, and confirm billing and property-handling procedures before making placement decisions.
