    Compassionate, excellent care and staff

I had a very positive rehab/respite stay - the staff genuinely cared and guided me every step. Physical therapy (Kathy, Jared, Tina) and the therapy team were excellent, nurses like Jackie and DON Steve were attentive, and Bev and Dawn in admissions/social work made everything easy. Clean, comfortable rooms, good food, and staff who treat residents like family-I would happily recommend and return.

    Summary of reviews

Care quality at this facility is mixed. Numerous accounts describe strong clinical rehabilitation services — physical, occupational, and speech therapy are frequently cited as effective, with specific therapy staff named for positive outcomes and successful transitions home. Many families and residents also praise compassionate nursing and aide staff who provide reassuring bedside care. Conversely, there are recurring operational concerns: reviewers describe delays in clinical responsiveness, timing gaps in medication administration, and limited physician coverage that appears to affect off-hours and weekend care. Several reviewers raised concerns following a resident's death about the handling of clinical escalations and end-of-life coordination.

Staffing and staff conduct present a notable contrast. Positive comments highlight caring, personable nurses, helpful admissions personnel, and proactive maintenance teams. Multiple staff members (including admissions and social-work roles) received individual praise for communication and support. At the same time, other accounts describe chronic understaffing, long wait times for assistance, inconsistent aide performance, and instances of unprofessional or curt communication from some administrative or nursing staff. Reviewers also noted reliance on agency personnel who may be less familiar with residents’ routines and needs.

Dining, activities, and the physical environment show variability. Many reviewers report engaging activities, social programming, and generally palatable meals; some mention solid short-stay rehab experiences with attentive daily routines. However, there are also comments about inconsistent meal quality, concerns about food preparation, and occasional dining-hygiene issues. The facility is often described as clean and orderly overall, though several reviewers raised specific laundry, bedding, and room-sanitation concerns that indicate inconsistency across units or shifts.

Management, communication, and administrative practices are another area of divergence. Admissions and reception staff were frequently commended for being helpful and informative, and some families felt well guided through processes. At the same time, there are repeated references to high administrative turnover, billing pressure, difficulties with payment-plan handling, and inconsistent family updates. Privacy and information-sharing process weaknesses were reported, along with instances where belongings were mishandled or misplaced, suggesting gaps in inventory controls and handoff procedures.

Notable patterns for prospective residents and families: the facility can deliver strong rehabilitative care and has many dedicated caregivers, but experiences appear highly variable depending on staffing, timing, and unit assignment. If clinical continuity, timely physician access, reliable medication administration, and consistent aide performance are priorities, families should ask about current staffing levels, on-call physician coverage, medication administration protocols, and how the facility manages agency staff and personal-belonging inventories. For those prioritizing therapy and compassionate individual caregivers, the facility has demonstrable strengths; for those prioritizing consistent operational performance and family communication, there are documented areas needing improvement.
