    Compassionate staff, excellent care, clean

I placed my grandmother at Greenbrier and we were very pleased. The staff treated her like family-kind, attentive, and quick to resolve issues-helping her regain mobility and enjoy meal times and social life with happy residents. The facility is immaculate and recently renovated, the nursing care is top-notch, and their warm, team-based support handled her health needs with real compassion.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewer feedback for Greenbrier Village & Burgundy Place is mixed, with clear strengths alongside notable operational weaknesses. Several reviewers describe a facility that presents well: public areas are clean, décor is updated, and recent renovations (including a new roof) have improved the physical environment. Multiple accounts emphasize warm, courteous direct-care staff, team-based approaches to problem resolution, and positive social experiences during meal times. Some families observed meaningful rehabilitation outcomes—rapid mobility improvement was reported for at least one resident—indicating the facility can provide effective therapy and clinical support for residents with health challenges.

At the same time, there is a recurring pattern of variability in day-to-day operations. Cleanliness appears uneven: public spaces are often described positively while private rooms and some resident bathrooms have sanitation and odor concerns. The presence of shared bathrooms for certain rooms was specifically noted and may affect expectations about privacy and hygiene. Reviewers also report inconsistent staff conduct and responsiveness, particularly during night shifts, which contributes to variable care experiences and perceptions of safety.

Clinical-care continuity and discharge planning are another area of concern. Several comments reference inadequate post‑operative care and instances where residents were perceived as discharged too early, suggesting gaps in care-transition planning and follow-up. Communication and trust between families and management are also problematic for some: delayed administrative decisions, perceived untrustworthy communications, and at least one allegation of inaccurate staff communication in a sensitive, end‑of‑life context were mentioned. These issues point to opportunities to strengthen family communication protocols and transparent clinical documentation.

Dining and social programming receive generally positive remarks: meal times are described as enjoyable and supportive of social interaction. Direct-care staff are frequently characterized as attentive and family-like, and many reviewers praised quick responses from the care team when issues arise. However, reviewers also flagged financial transparency concerns, specifically out‑of‑pocket dental costs and limits in insurance coverage for certain services, which prospective residents and families should clarify prior to admission.

In sum, Greenbrier Village & Burgundy Place shows strengths in facility presentation, social dining, and certain clinical and rehabilitative services, but also exhibits operational inconsistencies that affect the resident experience. Prospective residents and families should weigh the facility’s positive aspects against reported variability in room cleanliness, night-shift responsiveness, discharge planning, and communication. Visiting multiple times (including evenings), reviewing unit layouts for private versus shared bathrooms, confirming insurance coverage for dental and other ancillary services, and asking for written discharge and communication policies may help set clearer expectations and reduce risk of surprises.

About Greenbrier Village & Burgundy Place

Greenbrier Village & Burgundy Place sits on about 15 acres in Enid, Oklahoma, near hospitals, doctors' offices, churches, and shopping, with walking paths and easy access to local services, and sometimes when you see a place that's been around since 1971 like this one, you know they've settled into the community, focusing on a kind of lifestyle that's all about home, family, and being good neighbors. The campus has several parts, including The Homes of Greenbrier, Greenbrier Assisted Living, and a large Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, offering five levels of senior living-so whether someone needs independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, or even respite care for a short stay, there's a place for them here, and Burgundy Place sits just off campus on three acres for those wanting independent living apartments close to shops and healthcare, which makes things easier for errands and appointments. Staff includes a Facility Physician, Director of Nursing, Move-in Coordinator, and licensed Life Enrichment Guides who plan activities and outings, and there's always healthcare staff and nurse leaders around the clock, which is important for peace of mind, and on top of basic help with things like bathing, dressing, or moving around, residents get 24-hour nursing support, medication management, an on-call system for quick help, plus a pharmacy and even on-site x-ray technician, and tired caregivers can use their respite care services for a break. Meals are flexible with restaurant-style dining and special menu options for dietary needs, and rooms come fully furnished with private bathrooms, air conditioning, cable, and wifi, along with choices for private or semi-private setups and kitchenettes for those that like them. Housekeeping and laundry services keep things tidy, and maintenance covers repairs, while various spaces-like a beauty salon, fitness room, gaming area, small library, computer center, and outdoor garden-give folks plenty to do, plus there are wellness and mental health programs to lend an extra hand when life's tough. Scheduled activities, day trips, and clubs keep everyone social, and there's community and non-medical transportation available for getting out and about, plus Burgundy Place's location near shopping and hospitals is handy when life's busy. Greenbrier Village & Burgundy Place stands as the only contracted Veterans facility in northwest Oklahoma offering 24-hour care, and with a focus on kindness, respect, and dignity, they aim to make everyone feel like they belong, building a sense of community that's about more than just having a roof overhead, and while there aren't any posted reviews yet, the staff focus on personal care and being good listeners-always ready to respond in emergencies or just sit awhile in one of the common spaces, because sometimes that's what matters most in a place that becomes home.
