    Compassionate, clean, secure, affordable care

I chose this small, family-like home and I'm very pleased. Roxanne and the long-tenured, compassionate staff put residents first - quick nurse response, outstanding end-of-life care, friendly greetings - and the facility is spotless, comfortable and secure with a fenced yard and large accessible bathroom. All-inclusive, affordable pricing (they accept long-term care insurance) and in-house meals at noon and 5 PM make it easy to recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Red Bud Assisted Living is strongly positive. Multiple reviewers emphasize a small, home-like setting with a family atmosphere where residents are treated with individualized care and compassion. Staff are repeatedly described as caring, attentive, and professional; long tenure among employees and strong leadership (with specific praise for the DON/Administrator and administrator Roxanne) are consistent themes that reviewers cite as contributing to continuity of care and trust. The facility is characterized as clean and comfortable, and reviewers note that residents appear happy and in good spirits.

Care quality is a standout theme. Reviewers specifically call out quick nurse response times and exemplary end-of-life care, describing staff as compassionate and willing to go beyond expected duties (for example, attending residents' funerals). Several accounts emphasize unconditional, family-like care and that residents are prioritized, suggesting active, person-centered care rather than a purely clinical approach. The combination of long-tenured staff and hands-on administrators appears to translate into reliable, consistent care experiences for residents and peace of mind for families.

The physical facility and amenities receive favorable mentions: reviewers appreciate the small size, comfortable common spaces (including a floor-to-ceiling bookcase), a large handicapped-accessible bathroom, and outdoor amenities such as a fenced yard and patio. Safety features like a tornado-safe room are also noted. Dining is handled in-house by a cook with meals served at noon and 5:00, and reviewers highlight that the kitchen and meal service meet expectations. Financially, the facility is described as affordable with excellent, all-inclusive pricing and acceptance of long-term care insurance, which multiple reviewers list as a practical advantage.

Management and operations are repeatedly praised for professionalism and responsiveness. Administrators are described as meeting expectations and running the facility well, and staff are credited with creating a welcoming environment — staff greet residents and visitors warmly. Reviewers frequently recommend the facility and cite specific staff members and administrators by name when endorsing Red Bud Assisted Living, which indicates high levels of personal satisfaction and trust.

There are few explicit negatives in the summaries. A notable concern mentioned by one or more reviewers is the presence of a curtained restroom area, which could raise privacy considerations for some families or prospective residents. Additionally, while most reviewers value the small size, at least one person expressed a desire for an even smaller setting; this points to a subjective preference rather than a systemic issue. No complaints about cleanliness, food quality, or responsiveness appear in the summaries provided.

In sum, the reviews portray Red Bud Assisted Living as a small, well-run, clean, and affordable facility with compassionate, long-standing staff and strong leadership. The most significant strengths are personalized care (including notable end-of-life support), quick clinical responsiveness, and a warm, family-like atmosphere. Prospective residents and families should consider the facility’s small scale and the lightly noted privacy element of curtained restrooms, but overall the reviews indicate a high level of satisfaction and strong recommendations from current and past families.

    About Red Bud Assisted Living

Red Bud Assisted Living sits at 215 W Freeman Ave in Perkins, Oklahoma, where seniors get a home-like setting with care and support, and the place makes sure to match each resident's needs with personalized care, so families can feel good knowing trained, friendly staff are there 24/7, always ready to help with bathing, dressing, medication management, housework, or even just lending an ear if you're feeling lonely or want to find out what's going on in the garden, and speaking of the garden, the grounds include nice walking paths, outdoor spaces, and a spot to just sit and talk. Plenty of elders who live here have their own suite-complete with a private bath and walk-in shower, which helps keep folks feeling independent and comfortable, not to mention everything's wheelchair accessible so nobody feels left out when it's time for a movie night or a stroll outside, plus you don't have to worry much about cleaning since apartment cleaning and all bills are included, and you'll get individual climate control so the room's never too hot or cold. When you get hungry, there're three restaurant-style meals cooked up every day, plus evening snacks if you're in the mood, and if you like, you can ask for vegetarian options, so everyone finds something to enjoy at the table. The facility always looks for ways to help residents live fully-there're social events, holiday celebrations, games, devotional services, and all sorts of activities in the beauty salon, library, game or business room, and the fitness area, and for anyone with a pet, you'll be happy to know you can bring them along. If you need health oversight, the staff works with local doctors and healthcare providers, handling nursing supervision and medication, and helping arrange everything from hospice to respite care, so there's peace of mind as needs change, and since it's close to local physicians and pharmacies, getting to appointments is easier, especially since they offer transportation at cost. The building includes safety features like an emergency call system and a safe room, so you'll feel secure, and there's always staff around to help with personal care, making sure everyone's treated kindly. The place feels lively because the staff values teamwork and shows respect for each other, focusing on improving the lives of everyone there, and they offer full-time and part-time jobs with health, dental, and vision benefits, PTO, and AFLAC options, so their team tends to stick around and get to know everyone well. With a 4.9 rating from a handful of reviews, Red Bud Assisted Living keeps its commitments simple-supporting aging in place, helping with daily routines, fostering independence, and always working on ways to make both residents and the community feel a little better each day.
