    Clean, bright facility; attentive staff

I moved in recently and appreciate the clean, bright one-floor facility with studio kitchenettes and a pleasant courtyard. The staff are friendly, attentive and responsive - 24-hour LPNs, beeper-assisted aides, proactive health monitoring and strong doctor coordination have meant fewer hospital visits and frequent family updates. Meals are varied (diabetic and diet-specific options), rehab/respite care is available, and there are plenty of activities, outings and outdoor picnics to stay engaged. Free laundry, weekly cleaning, on-site salon and transportation to appointments give me peace of mind - I feel well cared for and would recommend this community.

    About Ridgewood at Shenango Valley

Ridgewood at Shenango Valley stands as a one-story senior living community in Hermitage, offering different levels of care like independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care for seniors, who can choose from standard, corner, or deluxe apartments, each with kitchenettes that have a microwave and a refrigerator, as well as wall-to-wall carpeting, and some furnished options, so folks can feel more at home, and they offer single room units too if privacy's important. Licensed by the state, Ridgewood at Shenango Valley gives residents help with activities like showering, dressing, or grooming, and provides supervision, housekeeping, laundry-even dry cleaning-plus medication help, blood work, and diabetes and incontinence care, all with registered nurses and on-call doctors available all day and night, and staff ready for emergency needs with their emergency alert system and 24-hour call system, since safety stays front and center.

You'll find a lot to do with Ridgewood at Shenango Valley's community rooms, recreation room, arts and crafts area, an arts room, and a movie night every so often, along with game nights, annual events like the Family Picnic, Christmas Tea, Strawberry Festival and Auction, and life enrichment programs for social, physical, and cognitive well-being, plus a musical group made up of residents that adds to the atmosphere. Meals are served in community dining areas and can be adjusted for special diets, and both guests and family can join residents at mealtimes or keep in touch using communication services, which helps everyone feel connected, especially since VA benefit assistance and financial advice are also offered to help with planning and payments through check or credit card.

Ridgewood at Shenango Valley recognizes that folks want to stay active and independent, so they provide on-site parking, free transportation for shopping and medical appointments, and a gift shop for convenience, and their move-in coordination makes changes as smooth as possible. They welcome some pets, have barber and salon services on-site for haircuts, and let residents take part in offsite activities so life doesn't lose its variety, and because companionship matters, staff aims to be friendly and attentive. Memory care is available for those who need extra support with confusion or wandering, with continuing care retirement options as needs change, plus respite care for short stays.

Housekeeping is steady, and the environment's kept clean, while maintained cable, Wi-Fi, religious services, and annual planned activities help seniors stay connected, entertained, and cared for. The all-inclusive pricing means most services are covered together, which can make things simpler, and the range of options includes care for non-ambulatory needs, as well as VA benefits assistance, skilled nursing, and Alzheimer's care. Ridgewood at Shenango Valley serves the Hermitage community and nearby areas, focusing on being a straightforward, dependable choice for seniors and families looking for a place with practical support, reliable care, and a community feel, and no matter the service-meal prep, medical help, or safe living spaces-staff will do their best to keep things running smoothly for every resident, day in and day out.
