    Spotless homelike facility caring staff

I placed my dad here and felt immediate relief-beautiful, spotless, home-like facility with excellent food, engaging activities, and lovely grounds. The staff (Jessica, Kelly and the whole team) are responsive, kind and professional, management communicates promptly, and on-site medical/wellness care has given us peace of mind-overall a very positive experience I'd recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression Grace Park Senior Living is described by many families as a well-maintained, attractive campus with a home-like atmosphere and engaged caregiving staff. Positive themes across reviews include attentive, personable direct-care staff, coordinated clinical support, and a facility environment that is clean, bright, and tastefully decorated. Many families highlighted smooth transitions, prompt communication, and a sense of peace of mind after placement.

Care and staffing Care delivery is generally characterized as compassionate and involved. Reviewers frequently noted regular check-ins, staff who proactively engage residents in activities, and on-site wellness or physician access that supports coordination with external providers. Several accounts describe staff going beyond basic duties to manage medications, appointments, and end-of-life needs. However, there are operational concerns around staffing consistency: some reviewers described periods when staffing levels or responsiveness were less reliable, and several raised questions about medication handling and documentation processes. These issues indicate areas to probe during a tour and when reviewing clinical protocols.

Dining and activities Dining is regularly praised for friendly table service, appealing presentation, and a varied menu; many families called out specific positive meal experiences. The community appears active, offering a wide spectrum of social and recreational programming (bingo, arts and crafts, musical events, exercise and memory activities) as well as arranged off-site trips. A few reviewers found food quality could be improved or noted occasional meal-delivery inconsistencies; activity availability also appears to vary by unit and individual scheduling.

Facilities and accommodations The physical campus is frequently described as attractive and well cared for — landscaped grounds, tasteful common areas, and a mix of cottages and main-building rooms. Cleanliness and upkeep were commonly praised. Room size and configuration vary; some reviewers appreciated smaller, less institutional-feeling rooms while others noted limited private-room size options. Housekeeping and laundry services are part of standard offerings.

Management, policy and notable patterns Many families reported positive management relationships, timely transitions, and clear billing communication. At the same time, there are a few serious concerns raised by families that warrant attention: issues around incident notification (for example delayed fall notifications), questions about privacy-communication, and at least one complaint related to medication handling. These led to mentions of regulatory or compliance follow-up. Pricing is perceived as above local averages for some levels of care, particularly memory care, and access to Medicaid or Medicaid-related resources appears limited or unclear. Admissions policies and the facility’s clinical scope may not accommodate higher-acuity needs for some prospective residents.

What prospective families should ask about Given the mix of strong positive reports and the operational concerns described, families touring the campus should ask specific questions about staffing ratios and shift coverage, written medication-administration and documentation protocols, incident-notification procedures for families, history of regulatory actions or compliance reviews, Medicaid acceptance and associated resources, and the facility’s capacity for higher-acuity care. Reviewing sample activity calendars, observing a meal service, and obtaining references from current residents’ families can help validate the aspects that matter most to your situation.

In summary, Grace Park presents as a well-kept, service-rich community with many strengths in caregiving, amenities, and campus environment. Those strengths are balanced by operational issues around staffing consistency, medication and incident handling, and pricing/coverage limitations that prospective residents and families should investigate directly with management.

    About Grace Park Senior Living

Grace Park Senior Living sits in Stroudsburg close to the Pocono Mountains where you can see all sorts of local scenery, visit restaurants, go to events, or enjoy nearby attractions, and the community really focuses on helping people stay social by offering all kinds of planned activities and chances to make friends and spend time together. They've got a French country bed and breakfast style that gives the place a cozy feel, and there are walking paths through gardens and outdoor spaces where folks can relax or take nature walks when the weather's nice, plus there's a Great Room and Country Kitchen where families and residents gather for cooking or just chatting and entertainment. You'll find four main living choices here-Cottage Living, Independent Living, Supportive Living, and Secure Memory Care-with the cottages being great for people who want their own space with independence, and the main building offering apartments in different layouts, all of them with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and access to common rooms.

Staff are trained, friendly, and easy to talk to, and they're there to help with daily tasks if needed, while also letting people stay as independent as possible, plus there's always someone around for safety since they have a 24-hour call system and 12-16 hour skilled nursing care available for more support, and if someone needs memory care, there's a secure program with a focus on keeping life engaging and routines safe for people living with dementia or Alzheimer's. The meals are prepared by on-site chefs with options for special dietary needs including allergies, diabetes, or just personal preferences, and residents can enjoy restaurant-style dining or grab coffee and snacks all day long with family welcome to join for meals now and then. Activities run daily-everything from exercise classes in the multi-purpose room, arts and crafts, movie nights, game times, music programs, and fitness clubs, to trips out to see plays at the Shawnee Play House, country rides, or simple outings to stores, and there's a full monthly calendar that covers all sorts of fun, creative, or spiritual events, which can include religious services, educational seminars, and even chances to volunteer in community projects, like making blankets for hospitals and working with local Girl Scouts.

Grace Park offers features like an arts room, movie theater, fitness room, library, game room, and a community room, with the media center and flower-filled gardens always open, and if you want pampering, there's a salon called Blossoms right there for haircuts or other beautician services. Housekeeping and laundry come standard, so you don't have to worry about chores, and folks can use the transportation service for errands or outings, with parking available if someone still drives. Apartments and cottages have wall-to-wall carpet, window blinds, air conditioning, cable TV, wi-fi, private telephone lines, emergency alert systems, and full fire-safety features like sprinklers, so everyone stays comfortable and safe, and the grounds are wheelchair accessible throughout. Residents also benefit from wellness checks every month, with medication management, care plans made just for each person, and support for everything from help with dressing to managing transfers and bathing, especially on the supportive living and memory care sides.

The staff work to make everyone feel respected and at home, and management pays attention to what makes each person unique, always trying to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle no matter the level of care needed. The place works with families to explain options for covering care, including information about Medicare, Medicaid, and support for veterans and their spouses. They have materials and resources for planning senior care and understanding retirement living, too. There's a smoke-free campus, and pets may be part of life-but you'd need to ask about current rules. Grace Park is meant for people aged 55 and older, and the campus feels both lively and peaceful, with opportunities to be as active or relaxed as someone wants, whether living in apartments or out in the cottages. With all of the simple comforts and regular attention from a team that takes pride in knowing the residents, Grace Park Senior Living stands as one option in Stroudsburg for seniors who want a social, safe, and maintenance-free life, in a country setting that feels like a home but with extra help when it's needed.
