    Warm staff; clean, homelike facility

I moved my mom here and I'm very pleased - the staff are warm, respectful and treated her like family from move-in onward. The building is clean, home-like and nicely decorated, with large single rooms (private baths, microwave, mini-fridge, cable), a tidy dining room with good non-institutional meals, and daily activities (exercise, bingo, arts & crafts, library, birthday parties). On-site doctors and responsive nurses/aides make care easy, and I'd recommend contacting Rebekah if you're exploring assisted living here.

    Summary of reviews

Cumberland Ridge Assisted presents as a small, homelike assisted living community with several operational strengths and a few areas to verify during a tour. Families consistently describe a caring, responsive staff and leadership team who are accessible and knowledgeable; many reviewers note that staff learn residents by name and provide compassionate, family-like care. The facility's one-level, compact layout is frequently cited as easy to navigate, and the environment is described as clean and odor-free with a welcoming foyer and well-maintained common spaces.

Accommodations and safety features are noteworthy: the community offers multiple room-size configurations, including large single rooms with private bathrooms and in-room conveniences such as microwaves and mini-fridges. Individual room locks, a master key system, and intercom monitoring are in place. On-site medical providers are available, and the overall pricing is described as affordable by several families. The move-in and admission process is generally reported as smooth and well-managed.

Dining and activities are generally viewed positively. Meals are described as home-style and well-liked rather than institutional; the dining area is reported clean and pleasant. The community offers a range of social programming โ€” bingo, arts & crafts, exercise classes, guest preachers, birthday parties, and a library โ€” which many residents enjoy. That said, activity offerings appear variable: while many reviewers report diverse, regular programming, at least one noted a lack of outings or bus trips, suggesting that scheduled activities and transportation may not be uniformly available.

There are a number of operational areas prospective residents should clarify. Parking is limited and shared with the neighboring nursing home, which can complicate visitor access. Double rooms were described by some as small or crowded, and additional charges for shared occupancy were mentioned; this points to a need for transparent discussion about room sizes, fees, and contract terms. Security- and medication-related concerns surfaced in one review that referenced a medication-security incident; overall, families would be prudent to ask about medication-management protocols, property-security measures, and incident reporting procedures.

Management is generally characterized as experienced and candid, though a few comments referenced administrative interpersonal tensions. Prospective residents and families should meet leadership, confirm fee structures, review activity calendars and transportation options, and ask about medication-security safeguards. Overall, Cumberland Ridge appears to offer a warm, clean, and reasonably priced assisted living option with attentive staff and homelike amenities, balanced by operational considerations around parking, shared-room configurations, activity consistency, fee transparency, and the need to confirm security procedures.

    About Cumberland Ridge Assisted

Cumberland Ridge Assisted is an assisted living facility at 458 Wayne Ave #100, Crossville, TN 38555, and it's got forty beds for seniors who need daily help. The place gives round-the-clock care and covers daily living needs like meals, laundry, housekeeping, and most utilities, except you'll need to handle your own phone. Studio apartments have kitchenettes and private rooms, so everyone gets their own space. Staff are active and friendly, sticking around all day and night, helping with medication, personal care, and daily activities, and there's some skilled nursing available right there in the building. The grounds get called beautiful, and there's convenient parking for residents, which can be nice for visitors too. The facility runs transportation to help folks with appointments or outings, and there's always some activity on the calendar, things like music, bingo, outside trips, and exercise classes. Housekeeping takes care of rooms and linens, and there's laundry and dry cleaning on site. The dining room serves community meals, but guests can join in if folks want company at supper. There's also free transportation and in-house religious services for those who want them, and everyone gets a safe place with simple security. Cumberland Ridge provides help with daily activities, from bathing and dressing to reminders for medicine, while also offering memory care for seniors with Alzheimer's or dementia, respite stays for recovery, and even continuing care options when needs change. There's also independent living for those who don't need much help, and the place works with Uplands Village to bring a sense of community and security, all among caring neighbors. It's a place where seniors can have support without being in a full nursing home, and every senior gets a personal care plan that fits what they actually need.
