    Friendly staff, excellent rehab, clean

I'm very pleased with the care my loved one received. Friendly, attentive nurses and aides, excellent rehab and therapies, clean spacious rooms, tasty meals, varied activities (bingo, music and pet visits), and strong infection control gave us real peace of mind and good value.

    Summary of reviews

Glenview Wellness and Rehabilitation presents a mixed but actionable profile. Many families and residents praise the direct-care teams and rehabilitation services: nursing staff are frequently described as compassionate and attentive, and the physical and speech therapy programs receive consistent positive feedback for improving function. Housekeeping and laundry services are noted as reliable, and common areas are commonly described as clean, bright, and well-maintained. The facility offers a range of engagement options — bingo, music and movie nights, pet visits, and weekly faith services — and several reviewers highlighted a professional, welcoming front desk and a strong first impression on admission.

At the same time, a recurring set of operational concerns appears across reviews. Staffing levels and turnover are cited repeatedly as an issue affecting continuity of care; families describe variable communication from the care team and inconsistent physician presence. Related consequences raised by reviewers include delays or gaps in medication and pain-management continuity, inconsistent therapy or wound-care coordination, and deficiencies in fall-prevention or call-response processes. These are facility-level patterns rather than single isolated events and suggest areas to review when evaluating current operations.

Dining and environment observations are also mixed. The kitchen provides varied menus and accommodating staff, and some meals are well received, but there are consistent notes about meals arriving at room temperature and an institutional presentation at times. The building appears to be aging: reviewers mention accessibility and layout limitations (distant parking, awkward check-in paths, narrow end-of-hallway rooms), occasional HVAC or plumbing interruptions, and constrained space in some semi-private rooms. A few sanitation concerns were raised for ancillary spaces such as a shower area, even though overall cleanliness of common areas receives positive mentions.

Management and administrative responsiveness are another area of division. Several reviewers praised named staff and therapists and described clear, compassionate leadership; others reported inconsistent administrative follow-through, broken promises, and difficulties with front-office communication. There are also serious, individual allegations — including theft and references to regulatory investigations — that warrant direct inquiry. Prospective residents and families should request the facility's most recent survey history, ask about staffing ratios by shift, clarify physician rounding schedules and medication-management protocols, and tour both short-term and long-term units to assess room size, visitor accommodations, and specific sanitation practices.

Overall, Glenview demonstrates clear strengths in hands-on nursing care and rehabilitation programming, along with a robust activities offering and generally well-kept public spaces. However, operational weaknesses around staffing consistency, clinical coordination, meal-service reliability, and certain facility amenities merit careful review during the decision-making process. Visiting in person, speaking with current families, and reviewing recent compliance records will help determine whether the facility's strong clinical and activity offerings align with an individual resident's safety and oversight needs.

    About Glenview Wellness and Rehabilitation

Glenview Wellness and Rehabilitation sits at 7625 Glenview Dr in Richland Hills, TX, and has 163 certified beds with about 95 residents each day. As a licensed skilled nursing facility and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic, this place focuses on helping people recover after hospital stays, injuries, or surgeries, offering physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help folks get back as close as possible to their previous level of health. The staff includes certified nursing assistants, nurses, therapy staff, and licensed social workers who help with both daily practical needs and personal care. A wound care specialist doctor and certified wound nurses manage wounds, and a dietitian makes sure meals meet medical and faith needs, so you'll see a lot of support around food and health management.

You've got private rooms with TVs and phones, and the building itself stays clean. The activities are made to fit what each person likes or needs, and help's there all through the day and night, so you can count on round-the-clock care. Glenview's leadership, including a five-star administrator named JD, tries to keep the quality of care up, even though challenges come up from time to time. The most recent inspections did find a few problems, including 21 total deficiencies, with issues like not disposing of garbage as they should, trouble with pressure ulcer care (which didn't cause harm but could've), and a couple of infection control violations. The facility reported a nurse turnover rate of 52.9% and an average of 2.52 nursing hours per resident per day-these numbers show room for improvement, especially when it comes to consistency of care.

The facility is part of a government hospital district, and Glenview Post Acute LLC has managed it since August 2018, with a previous link to Arrowhead Healthcare Partners. People can get home health help to ease the move back home, and there is palliative to supportive care for those who need comfort. The staff speaks mostly English, with some possibly speaking other languages, and people often mention the friendly attitudes they see from staff in daily life. Glenview welcomes all residents and aims to create a warm, caring place to recover or live long term, providing 24/7 nursing and doctor-supervised care.
