    Warm attentive staff, excellent amenities

I toured Prestonwood Court for my dad and left very pleased. The staff were warm and attentive, the activities program and social life really stood out, and the building is immaculate with excellent amenities (heated pool, gym, salon, on-site medical support). Apartments are well laid out and the move-in was smooth - we have real peace of mind knowing he's in caring hands. I'd happily recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Prestonwood Court is frequently described as an attractive, well-equipped senior living community with a clean, well-maintained campus and a range of amenities (indoor pool, therapy tub, gym, salon). Apartment-style residences with kitchenettes and options for customization, plus spacious, well-lit memory-care rooms and private rooms, are cited as strong points for families seeking a comfortable living environment. The community atmosphere is often characterized as home-like, with wide hallways and an accessible layout that supports residents with mobility or cognitive needs.

Care and staffing receive mixed but generally positive comments. Many families praise the kindness, attentiveness, and warmth of caregiving staff and highlight stable staff retention and a resident-centered approach. At the same time, a recurrent operational concern is inconsistency in clinical processes: medication administration and documentation issues, occasional miscommunication of physician orders, and delays in responding to falls or urgent personal-care needs are themes that appear across reviews. There are also specific mentions of gaps in assistance with activities of daily living, which suggest the need for families to clarify staffing and care protocols before move-in.

Dining and activities are clear strengths for many residents. The food service is often described as well-prepared and part of a positive dining experience, and the activities program is frequently singled out for creativity, high participation, and regular outings and live performances. Some reviewers noted small meal portions or variability in menu choices, and a few asked for more evening programming — an area where management indicated improvements had been initiated.

Management feedback is mixed. Several reviewers praise proactive, responsive leadership and staff who coordinate well with families and clinicians, while others describe inconsistent communication from leadership and slow responsiveness to emails or concerns. Pricing is another consistent pattern: Prestonwood Court is generally viewed as a premium option, and cost or perceived value is a decision factor for many families. Additionally, there are serious workforce and culture-related comments, including allegations of racial insensitivity and concerns about staff treatment; these warrant direct discussion with management and review of facility policies if they are relevant to a prospective resident.

Overall, Prestonwood Court may be a good fit for families seeking a high-amenity community with an active activities program and a generally compassionate caregiving team. Prospective residents and their families should prioritize clarifying medication administration protocols, response procedures for clinical events, personal-care assistance expectations, staffing consistency, and policies on inclusivity and staff training. Asking for references, recent staffing metrics, and examples of how specific incidents were addressed can help assess whether the operational weaknesses noted in some reviews have been resolved.

    About Prestonwood Court

Prestonwood Court welcomes seniors who want both support and independence, offering studio and one-bedroom apartments, with each apartment featuring private bathrooms with grab bars and walk-in showers, and spaces that let in plenty of natural light, and residents can bring their own furniture to make things feel more personal and comfortable, plus Memory Care residents get secure apartments with kitchenettes and nearby cozy common areas that have things like a grand piano, comfy seating, and a fireplace for relaxing. People can take walks in the courtyard lined with blooming crepe myrtles and sit by the fountain or use the rocking chairs on the porch, while indoors, there's an inviting foyer with polished hardwood floors, a popcorn cart, and natural light, as well as other community spaces like a charming Bistro, a library, a billiards table, and a theater with a popcorn machine and classic movie posters that are all intended to create spaces for gathering and entertainment, and if anyone wants to get some exercise, there's a Premier Club fitness center with Keiser equipment and an indoor swimming pool for aquatic therapy.

Daily life at Prestonwood Court is shaped around helping people keep their independence and purpose, and there's a regular schedule filled with all sorts of activities-arts and crafts, Bible study, fitness classes, book club, games for mental stimulation, aromatherapy, hand massages, and clubs like Walk 'n Talk. There's enrichment happening every day, whether it's faith services, social events, or nature walks, and staff encourage people to stay busy and involved to help their well-being and social life. Residents have help with day-to-day chores, including weekly housekeeping, laundry and linen service, and personal care like bathing, dressing, and medication management, and there's nursing oversight for health needs, as well as on-site therapy services for those who need extra support, plus staff can arrange telehealth visits when needed.

The dining program focuses on three daily meals made by chefs using fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and people eat in a shared dining room, with meals tailored for special diets, including those needed for memory care, and the menu changes from gourmet dishes to comfort food, so there's usually something to suit most tastes. Memory care residents benefit from specialized support through programs like Pathways and Dining with G.R.A.C.E., geared toward reducing confusion and improving quality of life with support that keeps people safe and engaged, and these programs help address wandering and memory loss with secure common areas, monitored spaces, and high staff-to-resident ratios.

Safety is a key part of everyday life here, with secure entryways, monitored common areas, emergency response systems, and regular safety features such as grab bars, wheelchair access, and walk-in showers throughout the building. Residents can take part in a maintenance-free lifestyle with weekly cleaning and have access to salon and bistro services, scheduled transportation, and a resident portal for community updates and engagement. The facility is pet-friendly, so seniors can bring along a small pet if that's important to them.

Prestonwood Court offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, and even home care for those living nearby. There are activities and care programs tailored to residents' needs, with the goal to help everyone enjoy an environment that feels like home without giving up their freedom or peace of mind, and anyone interested is welcome to come take a tour and see how the day-to-day life works, what apartments look like, and what activities are offered, so they can make an informed decision about living here.
