    Caring, clean, welcoming assisted living

I placed my mom here and I'm very pleased. The staff are caring, professional and attentive, with strong communication and excellent therapists. The facility is clean, beautiful and home-like - great food, activities several times a day, Sunday services, large common areas and lovely grounds where deer sometimes wander. I highly recommend this supportive, upbeat community.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for this facility present a mixed picture. Strengths repeatedly cited include a caring, attentive frontline workforce, capable therapy teams, frequent activities, and generally clean common areas and visitor spaces. Several reviewers praised the facility’s atmosphere — noting a home-like feel, upbeat interior, pleasant outdoor grounds, and available faith-based services — and some families highlighted positive communication and strong rehabilitation outcomes.

At the same time, there are consistent operational concerns. Multiple accounts describe inconsistent staffing levels and high turnover, which reviewers linked to delays in routine assistance and slower response times. A number of families described extended delays in attending to personal-care needs and expressed worries about sanitation-related care; these accounts point to gaps in frontline coverage and scheduling rather than isolated events.

Safety- and clinical-practice patterns are mixed. Positive reports emphasize effective therapists and attentive nursing in many cases, but other reviewers reported falls, constraints on mobility, and concerns about medication management. Taken together, these comments suggest variability in clinical oversight and fall-prevention practices across shifts and units.

Dining and activity programming also show variability. Several reviewers praised meal quality and frequent, engaging activities; conversely, others noted interruptions to meal service and less appealing food at times. Activity offerings range from active programming multiple times per day to more passive options, so families should review the schedule to confirm alignment with a loved one’s needs.

Facility condition and management practices are another area of contrast. The building is described both as clean and welcoming in public areas and as aging or in need of repair in places. Operationally, reviewers identified what they perceive as an excess of administrative staff relative to floor caregivers and raised concerns about responsiveness from resident advocacy and management when incidents occur.

Overall, the facility demonstrates clear strengths in staff compassion, therapy services, and resident programming, but also shows recurring operational weaknesses—particularly around staffing consistency, clinical oversight, meal-service reliability, and building maintenance. Prospective residents and families would benefit from an in-person visit focused on current staffing ratios, fall-prevention and medication-management protocols, incontinence-care procedures, meal schedules, and the facility’s plan for addressing maintenance needs and turnover.
