    Exceptional staff, spotless welcoming community

I'm very pleased with our choice - the CNAs and nursing staff are exceptional and genuinely caring, and the facility is brand-new, spotless, and welcoming. Nestor's delicious meals and the lively activities/outings make it feel like home, and administrators like Jane and Chandler are personable and attentive. Overall a wonderful, family-like community I happily recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Raintree Assisted Living presents as a modern, well-appointed community with a strong emphasis on hospitality and social programming. Reviewers consistently describe a clean, bright building with attractive common spaces (including an atrium and library), a variety of private-suite options, and conveniences such as laundry service and a snack/kitchen area. Dining is frequently cited as a strength: three meals per day, snack availability throughout the day, table service, and several comments calling out particularly attentive kitchen staff and well-presented food.

Frontline caregiving staff receive substantial praise. CNAs and nursing aides are described as compassionate, attentive, and family-oriented; many reviewers noted staff who go beyond basic duties to engage residents in activities, outings, and celebrations. Activities programming is robust, including regular outings (restaurants, ice cream trips), live music, holiday events, and daily social opportunities that support resident connection and a family-like atmosphere.

Clinical and care-quality observations are mixed. While many families praised attentive bedside care and assistance with bathing and medication administration, there are recurring concerns about medication-management processes — including missed or delayed doses and changes to medication regimens not consistently communicated to families. Several reviewers also described difficulty coordinating more complex clinical needs (for example, dialysis coordination), suggesting the community may be best suited for residents with low-to-moderate medical acuity rather than high-acuity medical needs.

Operational and administrative themes are a notable area of divergence. Numerous families singled out individual administrators and managers as highly accessible and supportive, while others described communication gaps, billing disputes, and disorganized administrative follow-through. Transport availability is another mixed element: the facility advertises doctor-visit transport, yet some families experienced unreliable or unavailable transportation. Financial transparency and billing practices were flagged by several reviewers as needing improvement, including unclear timing around payers and post-transition account handling.

Taken together, a consistent pattern emerges: Raintree offers strong hospitality, an engaging activity environment, and generally warm, resident-focused caregiving from many frontline staff. However, prospective residents and families should verify clinical protocols, medication-administration safeguards, transportation logistics, and billing/contract terms in writing before admission. For individuals requiring complex medical coordination, ask for specific examples of how those needs are managed and request current staffing/clinical oversight details to assess fit with resident needs.

    About Raintree Assisted Living

Raintree Assisted Living sits in west Davis County in Syracuse, Utah, where the Wasatch Mountains make a nice view, and the location is handy if you want to be right across from Tanner Clinic and Island View Pharmacy, which is north, and close to the community center, parks, shopping places, restaurants, the library, movie theater, and several recreation spots, so everything's nearby without going far. The building is all one level, newer, clean, and well-kept, with private studio units and a few double occupancy rooms, all starting at a base rate of $2,900, and the floor plans are simple for easy getting around, plus there's a spacious outdoor area, a therapy gym, computers, and a salon for residents.

There's a Gandy Dancer Mercantile for outings, and the community lets residents decide how much they want to join in daily life since they can choose classes, excursions, social, and educational events put together by a dedicated activities team well-known for keeping things lively, fun, and purposeful. Staff, including the administrator Jane, nurses, CNAs, and even the owners, are often on-site, known for being attentive and friendly, so residents often talk about the welcoming, cheerful feeling inside. The team manages things like medication, grooming, hygiene, mobility, and incontinence, helping people keep their independence as much as possible, and you get a personal call system and locked doors at night for safety.

Meals taste good and come from chef and dietitian plans, with a restaurant-style setup, snacks, a menu that's always available, and options for special dietary needs. There are also transportation services if residents need to get to activities or health appointments farther away, and Raintree has nearby access to doctors, therapy, and pharmacy since those are across the street, which comes in handy for quick care. Raintree Assisted Living supports folks needing end-of-life care, daycare, respite stays, and those with memory needs, including Alzheimer's, with individualized care plans and a focus on both independence and dignity. There are activities and amenities for comfort, high-speed internet, pet-friendly rooms, accessible layouts, common social spaces, and awards for the care and engagement programs. The management is locally owned with more than 25 years of experience, always aiming to create a relaxing and fun place to live, where meals are nutritious, workers pay careful attention to each person, and everyone tries to make sure families stay informed and residents can have as much say as they want.
