    Warm professional staff, lovely grounds

My mom moved in here and I'm very happy with our choice. The staff are warm, professional, and truly caring - nurses, CNAs, kitchen and front desk all go above and beyond. The food is delicious, the activities and outings keep residents engaged, and the grounds with mountain views, gardens and a sunny patio are lovely. Clean, well-managed, and comforting - I'd recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Feedback paints Lotus Park as a well-appointed, country-style senior community with a strong emphasis on personalized caregiving, on-site clinical resources, and an active social calendar. Reviewers consistently highlight a clean, modern facility set on scenic grounds with gardens, outdoor patios, and mountain views. The community offers a full continuum of housing—independent homes, assisted living, and memory care—which families describe as comfortable and homelike.

Care and staff: Care quality is a central strength in the feedback. Nursing leadership and many caregivers are described as compassionate, engaged, and proactive; the presence of on-site RNs and therapy services is repeatedly noted. Specific staff members are frequently commended for going above and beyond, and many families report a high level of trust in day-to-day caregiving. At the same time, there are recurring operational concerns: staffing stability and variability in staff training and clinical competency were raised by several families, and there are a small number of allegations of serious safety lapses that merit verification through inspection records and direct questions during a tour. Prospective families should ask about staff certification, ongoing training programs, and emergency-response protocols.

Dining and personal care: Dining receives strong positive comments—meals made from scratch, restaurant-style presentation, and flexible substitution options are common praise points. A limited set of critiques focus on menu variety and snack availability specifically in the memory-care setting, suggesting opportunities to expand options for residents with specialized dietary or snacking needs. Some feedback also indicates inconsistent personal-care scheduling (for example, bathing routines) for particular residents; this points to variability in how care plans are implemented across shifts.

Activities and community life: Activity programming is a clear strength. Residents participate in regular outings (restaurants, shopping, parks, zoo visits), on-site events (holiday luau, Easter egg hunts), and a variety of creative and social activities. The gardens, farm-animal elements, and large outdoor spaces contribute to a strong sense of community and resident engagement. Families consistently describe a warm, family-like atmosphere and frequent opportunities for socialization.

Facilities and operations: Facility maintenance and cleanliness are highlighted repeatedly; reviewers describe responsive maintenance, well-kept grounds, and pleasant apartment layouts with natural light and views. Communication practices are mixed: the community offers daily nursing updates and social-media photo posting, which many families value, but there are also references to slower or inconsistent responsiveness during leadership transitions. Transportation options appear limited for medical appointments, so prospective residents should confirm the community’s transportation policies and any available support for off-site clinical visits.

Management and patterns to verify: Leadership changes and a hands-on owner/administrator presence are noted as both a stabilizing factor and a source of transition-related communication gaps. Several reviewers credit recent leadership for operational improvements, while others raised concerns about management conduct and staff morale. Given the overall positive tenor of most feedback but the presence of operational concerns, families would be well advised to ask about current staffing ratios, staff turnover statistics, training and emergency-preparedness practices, memory-care integration and social programming, and transportation services when touring or contacting the community.

Bottom line: Lotus Park is presented as a clean, scenic, activity-rich community with a strong culture of individualized care and many praised staff members. The primary areas to investigate further are staffing stability and training, memory-care social integration, consistency in personal-care routines, and transportation for medical appointments. Clarifying these operational details will help families match the community’s strengths to resident needs.

About Cogir of Lotus Park Senior Living

Cogir Of Lotus Park Senior Living sits in West Haven, Utah, on seven acres near Salt Lake City with views of the Wasatch Mountains, and has 76 units with private rooms for residents, so there's a good bit of space and folks can have their own area. This community accepts both Medicaid Waiver and private pay, and the cost depends on the level of care a person needs, which means prices are set for each person's situation rather than being all the same. Small pets are allowed, which brings some people comfort, and the facility's memory care community is secured and designed to help those with Alzheimer's or other dementias. The building is licensed, has skilled nursing on-site for those who need a higher level of care, and includes options for independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, continuing care, and respite care for short stays. There is an admission coordinator named Micah Lemmon who helps new residents get settled.

Residents get help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and taking medicine. Nurses are on staff, and the staff provides care that matches what each person needs, even if those needs change over time. The Revere℠ Memory Care approach and Generations Memory Care focus on building strong bonds and creating personalized plans for memory support. Cogir Of Lotus Park Senior Living uses SafelyYou's AI technology, which keeps an eye on falls and gives clinical support around the clock, which makes some people feel safer.

Community spaces include living rooms, common rooms, patios, landscaped gardens with walking paths, an art studio, a game room, gyms, a salon spa, and a hairstylist, so residents don't have to go far for things they enjoy or need. People use Wi-Fi for staying connected, which helps some stay in touch with family. Parking is available outside, and scheduled transportation means residents can get to appointments and outings without hassle. The staff also run daily activities like bingo, religious services, fitness classes with the Forever Fit Program, themed celebrations, and even pet wellness with the Pawsitive Health Program. There are Virtual Voyages for exploring places from the community, an Melody & Masterpiece art program, and the Memories in Motion presentations, where people can share parts of their lives.

On the eating side, Elevate dining means chef-prepared meals, often using fresh, seasonal ingredients, and there are options for special diets along with café-style and restaurant-style dining rooms. The community is handicap accessible and aims to be comfortable for everyone who lives there. Cogir Of Lotus Park Senior Living has been recognized as a Best of Senior Living award winner for 2025 and has a good reputation for a friendly atmosphere, helpful staff, and a strong sense of belonging, with many families noting the patience and kindness staff show to residents. There's a focus on keeping people active and connected, supporting both their independence and their need for care as the years go by.
