    Welcoming community with quality concerns

I toured and immediately felt welcomed - staff were friendly, professional and organized. The building is bright and attractive (gorgeous atrium and chandelier, lots of windows, wide hallways) and very clean with warm, homey common spaces. There are many activities (exercise, games, piano, gardening, library), on-site PT and amenities, though some rooms and activity spaces are small. Apartments are climate-controlled and tidy but often tiny and generally lack in-unit washers (cottages do). Meals are plentiful and often good, but service/quality can be inconsistent (COVID to-go/Styrofoam and occasional cafeteria-style food reported). I was impressed by the care and atmosphere, but pricing, corporate fees and affordability issues are real caveats - worth a tour if it fits your budget.
