    Caring staff, clean community, peace

I've lived here long-term and I'm mostly pleased - the staff are caring, respectful, and responsive, with strong care and reliable medication management. The community is very clean, meals are tasty, activities are engaging, and reception is helpful; it feels like family and gives me real peace of mind.

    About Sherwood Assisted Living

Sherwood Assisted Living sits at 550 W Hendrickson Rd in Sequim and people around here call it Sherwood, but some folks say it's part of The Lodge at Sherwood Village which includes more living options and reminds you with its rustic log look and views of the Olympics and those sweeping meadows, well, it all makes you feel close to the land. The facility has 107 licensed and WHCA beds and offers assisted living, memory care, respite stays, and adult day care. Residents get care from 24-hour licensed nurses and professionally trained aides-folks who help out with things like medication, diabetes, incontinence, and moving around if that's harder now than it used to be, and you can feel the personal touch because they tailor support to each person's abilities and daily needs.

Sherwood has private apartments and homey cottages, many with beautiful views, so every resident can settle into a setting that feels right and safe. The community includes enclosed courtyards-five in all-lobby and entry halls that make it easy to get around, and several comfortable and secure common areas inside and outside where you see neighbors or family. The grounds and buildings connect to the natural beauty outside, and the whole place is managed locally by people from Oxford Living, LLC, with Joann Boschke overseeing as the administrator.

Sherwood encourages independence as much as possible-residents can choose activities and events like music performances, devotional times, a chili cook-off, or just relaxing in the shared spaces. There's a variety of healthcare services to help residents with life's daily needs without pushing them to do things they don't want, so whether someone needs regular support, occasional help, or even adult day care or memory services, those options are covered here along with opportunities for socializing. Some folks like knowing there's also a bed & breakfast, plus independent apartment and cottage living, for people not needing help all the time who just want the company, meals, and a sense of security. Sherwood tries to keep things natural and plain, aiming for comfort and support as the days pass, and it all blends together to make a steady place for seniors to age at their own pace.
