    Friendly staff, affordable dog-friendly living

I loved living here - the staff are wonderful and pleasant, I made lots of friends, and it's dog-friendly. The large apartments have full kitchens and dining rooms, there are cooking and gardening activities and reliable transportation, and many long-term residents make it feel like home at an affordable price.

    Summary of reviews

Lexington Village Senior Comm is described as a small, close-knit independent-living community with large apartments and full kitchens. Reviewers emphasize spacious private units and communal areas such as a dining room, and they note an active social environment with many friendships and long-term residents. The facility accommodates pets and offers on-site transportation and hands-on activities like cooking and gardening, which supports resident engagement and autonomy.

Staff and care impressions are generally positive in the summaries provided: staff are characterized as pleasant, friendly, and attentive, and multiple comments reflect satisfaction with day-to-day interactions. The overall tone suggests stability in staffing and resident tenure; however, these summaries do not provide detailed clinical-care information and appear to describe an independent-living model rather than a setting that provides higher levels of personal or medical care.

Dining and activities are oriented toward resident self-sufficiency. While there is a communal dining space, reviewers explicitly note an absence of provided meals, indicating residents rely on their in-unit kitchens or informal shared meals. The availability of cooking- and gardening-focused activities and social gatherings is a strength for residents who prefer an active, self-directed lifestyle, but the lack of an institutional meal program may be a limitation for people who require prepared meal services.

Facility and management notes show mixed perceptions on cost and location. Some reviewers describe pricing as affordable or competitive, while others characterize it as expensive; this suggests potential variability in how pricing, fees, or value are communicated or experienced. The community is also described as being located some distance from certain destinations, though transportation services are available to mitigate access limitations. Prospective residents should confirm current pricing structures, included services, and transportation schedules when evaluating fit.

Notable patterns: consistent praise for staff demeanor and the social, pet-friendly environment; well-sized apartments with full kitchens that support independent living; active resident participation in cooking and gardening; and operational traits that include no institutional meal service, a relatively remote location, and mixed perceptions about cost. Overall, Lexington Village may suit independent adults who value space, a small community atmosphere, pet policies, and hands-on activities — and who do not require on-site meal provision or intensive clinical services. Prospective residents and families should verify service levels, meal options, and pricing details during a visit.
