I'm very pleased with my aunt's stay - staff (Anna and Jessica especially) are professional, kind, and consistently go above and beyond; concerns are handled promptly and teamwork is obvious. The building is clean, well-maintained and feels safe, with around-the-clock nursing, three meals a day, laundry/cleaning, engaging activities and plentiful on-site amenities (movie theater, hair salon, game room/pool table and even a therapy goat). Overall a very positive experience; I would recommend this friendly, caring community.

Summary of reviews
Overall impression: Reviews present a mixed but informative picture. Many accounts emphasize strong interpersonal care, a clean environment, plentiful amenities and an active social program; simultaneously, operational challenges—most notably staffing and administrative processes—appear to affect consistency of service for some residents.
Care and staff: Families and residents frequently describe staff as caring, professional and willing to go above and beyond. Nursing coverage around the clock is cited as a positive, and specific employees received favorable mention for attentive service. At the same time, reviewers raise concerns about inconsistent staffing levels and the effects of understaffing or low compensation on responsiveness and continuity of care. These operational pressures are associated with delays in some routine tasks and with uneven experiences between shifts or individuals.
Dining and activities: The facility provides three meals per day and an active calendar of programs. Reviewers note a range of amenities that support social engagement—on-site movie theater, hair salon, pool table/game room, therapy-animal visits, and other communal offerings. These resources contribute to an overall atmosphere in which many residents appear engaged and satisfied with daily life.
Facilities and operational practices: The building is described as clean and well maintained, and services such as laundry and housekeeping are available. However, reviewers describe episodic supply and housekeeping inconsistencies (for example, missing linens or basic room items) and lapses in routine checks. Administrative issues are also described: paperwork and documentation processes have been characterized as inconsistent, with at least one account describing pressure around consent or signatures. Communication and care-coordination gaps—missed reminders, delayed room checks, and challenges with billing or refund processes—are recurring themes that point to weaknesses in back-office operations.
Safety and management: The community is generally viewed as safe and friendly, but some reviewers cited challenges managing resident behaviors and the resulting impact on perceived safety. These descriptions suggest opportunities to strengthen behavior-management protocols, staff training, and staffing models to ensure consistent oversight.
Bottom line: Edgewood Spring Wind offers clear strengths in personal caregiving, amenities, and an engaging community environment. Prospective residents and families should balance these positives against operational issues flagged in reviews—particularly staffing consistency, administrative documentation, and supply management. When considering this facility, ask targeted questions about current staffing ratios and turnover, behavior-management procedures, documentation and consent practices, supply/inventory controls, and billing/refund policies. A short trial stay or a detailed facility tour that includes a review of staffing schedules and administrative procedures may help evaluate day-to-day reliability alongside the facility’s evident strengths.

About Edgewood Spring Wind
Edgewood Spring Wind opened in 1999 and joined Edgewood Healthcare in 2017, and the place has 79 private units and beds inside a single-story building, designed to keep seniors comfortable and safe while they regain independence and find happiness each day. The community has a focus on many care types such as independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation services, so if someone needs help with daily activities, memory support, or care after surgery, the staff can help with those needs, and they offer both short-term stays and adult day services for added flexibility. The team provides multidisciplinary nursing home care with skilled nurses and therapists on-site, who cover physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, strength conditioning, and mobility improvement, and there's medical oversight through Edgewood's partnerships or local healthcare providers. The community believes in letting residents enjoy hobbies, social events, and activities, so people can stay connected and do what they like, and secured supportive housing, assisted living units, and memory care units are available to fit different needs. Transportation services make getting out and about a bit easier, and people can check rates for assisted living and memory care with downloadable rate cards or take a virtual tour before visiting. Edgewood Spring Wind has a community score of 7.7 from Seniorly, and staff say they're committed to giving residents good care and support, using specific care program names and a plain focus on resident well-being. The building, the amenities, and the programs are made to help people feel calm, engaged, and cared for, with options for 55+ living, continuing care, independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, short-term stays, and adult day services, so folks with a wide range of needs and preferences can find some support and community here without everything being one-size-fits-all.
