      Private room, caring staff, activities

I placed my mother here and I'm very pleased - the staff are passionate, consistent caregivers led by a meticulous, high-integrity owner, with a daily nurse/charge nurse on site and hospice assistance available. She has a private, clean room, home-cooked meals, laundry and showers handled, and plenty of activities (bible study/communion, gardening, music/karaoke, park walks); a private podiatrist is available for a fee, pricing varies, and we're doing better than at home.

      Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The facility is described as a small, home-style licensed residence with a long-standing ownership presence and hands-on management. Many comments emphasize a strong culture of personal attention: caregiving staff are characterized as compassionate and consistent, and leadership is described as meticulous and experienced. Several notes highlight clinical support such as daily nurse/charge-nurse oversight and availability of hospice assistance, which together suggest active clinical engagement for residents with complex needs.

Care and staff: Reviews emphasize steady caregiver assignments, which can support continuity of care and relationship-building. The administrator and caregiving team are repeatedly described as qualified, and the owner’s involvement is framed as attentive and integrity-driven. Daily nursing presence is a recurring point, and reviewers indicate access to hospice support when needed. These elements indicate a care model oriented toward individualized attention rather than large-scale institutional workflows.

Dining and support services: Dining is frequently described as home-cooked, which reviewers portray positively. Operational supports such as daily laundry and shower assistance are noted as reliable services. Some services that are available on-site—such as podiatry—are fee-based; prospective families should expect ancillary charges for certain private-provider services. Review comments also indicate variable pricing; clarity on what is included in base fees versus add-on services should be requested during touring and contracting.

Activities and social programming: The home offers a range of social and spiritual activities, including Bible study and communion, gardening, music and karaoke, and walks to a nearby park. These daily and recreational offerings point to an environment that fosters engagement and routine. Such programming aligns with the smaller scale of the setting and may appeal to residents seeking a household atmosphere and faith-based options.

Facilities and environment: The facility’s small size is a defining feature. While this contributes to a homelike atmosphere and closer staff–resident relationships, reviewers also describe the home as somewhat crowded and dimly lit in places. Prospective residents should assess room sizes, common-area capacity, and lighting during an in-person visit to confirm the physical environment meets their needs.

Notable patterns and recommendations: The dominant pattern in the reviews is positive regarding staff responsiveness, cleanliness, and overall care quality; multiple remarks indicate family members felt their relatives were better cared for than at home. Areas to clarify with management before placement include the full pricing breakdown, which services incur additional fees (for example, private podiatry), and the facility’s approach to communal space and lighting. An on-site tour focused on bedroom dimensions, common-area flow, and the scheduling of clinical and ancillary services will help determine fit for prospective residents.
