      Wonderful care loving staff spotless

I placed my mom here and she spent almost three wonderful years - the staff and owners were loving, the care excellent and always friendly. The home felt safe and spotless, with beautiful grounds, good food (they even offered tea) and a nice view; I would happily recommend it.

      Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment The reviews for Great Leaf Home Care, LLC are overwhelmingly positive. Multiple reviewers emphasize the warmth and compassion of the staff and owners, repeatedly describing them as loving, wonderful, and friendly. Care quality is characterized as excellent, and reviewers report consistently positive experiences over time — one reviewer specifically notes nearly three years of care. Family members express confidence in the facility and say they would recommend it to others.

Care quality and staff The dominant theme across the summaries is the quality of personal care and the staff-resident relationship. Terms like "loving staff," "excellent care," and "wonderful experience" appear repeatedly, indicating that caregivers not only meet clinical or assistance needs but also provide emotional support and a compassionate presence. The owners are mentioned as loving and involved, suggesting that leadership is visible and contributes positively to the resident experience. The long length of stay cited (almost three years) supports the impression of consistent, reliable care over time.

Facilities and cleanliness Reviewers highlight a safe, well-maintained environment. "Safe home" and "spotless grounds" indicate a strong emphasis on cleanliness and upkeep both inside the home and on the property. The mention of a "nice view" reinforces that the physical setting is pleasant and may contribute to residents' well-being. Taken together, these comments create a picture of a facility that is tidy, secure, and comfortable.

Dining and daily comforts Food and small comforts are explicitly mentioned as strengths. Reviewers note "lots of good food" and that tea is offered, which points to attention to residents' daily dining preferences and hospitality. While dining is clearly a positive, reviews provide limited detail about meal variety, dietary accommodations, or formal dining programs.

Activities, clinical details, and gaps in the reviews The provided summaries focus heavily on interpersonal care, cleanliness, and food, but they do not offer specific information about clinical services (e.g., medication management, nursing availability), organized activities, therapy programs, transportation, costs, or move-in logistics. The only mild concern noted is that one reviewer said their "mom wanted to be in her own home," which signals initial reluctance or a transitional challenge — a common issue when families move a loved one into residential care. However, despite that initial preference, the overall tone suggests the family later viewed the placement positively. Prospective families should ask the facility directly about medical oversight, activity schedules, staffing ratios, and accommodations for specific care needs because those topics are not covered in these summaries.

Patterns and final assessment The consistent patterns across reviews are compassionate staff, clean and safe surroundings, satisfying food offerings, visible and caring ownership, and strong family endorsement (recommendations and long-term stays). There are no repeated negative comments in these summaries. The only noted concern is the natural resistance of at least one resident to move from their own home, not a critique of care after admission. Overall, based on these reviews, Great Leaf Home Care, LLC appears to provide a warm, attentive, and well-kept home-like environment. Families considering this facility should validate specifics about clinical care, activities, and costs during a visit, but can reasonably expect friendly staff, good cleanliness, and a positive day-to-day atmosphere as reported by reviewers.

About Great Leaf Home Care, LLC

Great Leaf Home Care, LLC sits down in the Bryn Mawr-Skyway area of Seattle, Washington, and offers adult family home care for seniors who can't live alone anymore, with just six licensed beds, so you end up with a small group and a lot of chances to get to know other people and caregivers, and the staff works hard to make the place feel more like a home than an institution, focusing on both daily support like dressing, bathing, and managing medicines, as well as specialized care for memory issues like dementia and help for folks with mental health or developmental disabilities. The caregivers stay close by round the clock and offer meals, help with personal care, medication reminders, and a friendly, clean place to live, and if families need a break, they can set up short respite stays. The home's got Wi-Fi and a solid internet connection, both indoor and outdoor common spaces, and even nearby grocery stores, coffee shops, and pharmacies for convenience. The rooms and care plans fit different needs and the caregivers keep family, residents, and doctors all working together on a plan that suits each person. Meals include options like vegetarian and Kosher, and there's a program with social and educational activities to keep folks busy and help everyone feel like they belong. The home's also pretty accessible for folks using wheelchairs or needing a little help walking, and the staff get high marks for being kind and helpful, with a warm reputation all around the community. Visiting hours run from 9:00am to 8:00pm so loved ones can stop by, and the care covers long-term needs as well as in-home support for seniors in King County who want a safe place to stay that still feels comfortable and familiar. Great Leaf Home Care, LLC carries the official license and gets checked by DSHS, and while it doesn't accept Medicare unless it's certified, families have some payment options to consider. There's even a virtual map if families want to get a sense of the place before visiting, and staff can help you connect with a free local advisor so you can figure out what's best for your situation.
