    Warm, clean, attentive, highly recommended

I moved my mom in recently and I'm very pleased. The place feels welcoming and homey, is clean and well-kept, and recently remodeled; staff are professional, compassionate, and attentive. Meals are good, activities plentiful, and residents stay independent with the right support. I recommend touring - a well-managed, comfortable community where my loved one settled in quickly.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Solista Gresham (Gresham Manor) presents as a generally welcoming, value-oriented senior living community with a strong emphasis on social connection and hospitality. Residents and families consistently describe a warm, close-knit atmosphere and highlight staff who are personable, attentive, and resident-focused. The community offers a wide array of daily activities, regular entertainment, and opportunities for social engagement that support an active lifestyle.

Staff and care quality: Staffing is widely praised for compassion, helpfulness, and continuity from long-tenured employees; many reviewers cite staff who remember names, assist at meals, and support new residents during transitions. At the same time, reviewer feedback indicates operational limitations in clinical coverage and responsiveness: there are recurring concerns about limited overnight/on-site presence, delays in maintenance and administrative tasks, and episodes of missed medication administration. These issues suggest gaps between daily hospitality-level support and the level of clinical oversight some residents require.

Dining: Dining is a central positive for many residents — chef-led meals, menu variety, and included three-meal service are frequently noted as strengths. However, the dining experience is uneven in places: reviewers mention variability in food quality, slower meal service at times, and occasional mismatches between menu description and delivered dishes. Dietary accommodations are offered, but special-diet needs (for example, stricter diabetic or texture-modified plans) have at times been inconsistently met.

Activities and social life: The community provides a robust activities calendar with organized outings, game and card groups, fitness and stretching classes, live music, and special events such as ice-cream socials and movie nights. Transportation services (a community shuttle/bus) facilitate appointments and outings, though accessibility of outings can be limited by vehicle features and site topography. Overall, the activity program appears effective at fostering social connection and resident engagement.

Facilities and amenities: Facilities are described as generally clean, well-maintained, and attractively landscaped, with practical apartment layouts and a variety of studio, one- and two-bedroom options. Included services commonly cited are regular housekeeping, on-site beauty salon, courtyard and common spaces, free Wi‑Fi, and cable access. Noted operational issues include variable housekeeping consistency over time and occasional odor or cleanliness concerns that appear localized rather than systemic.

Management and operations: Families appreciate helpful admissions staff and move-in support, and many reviewers characterize management as problem-solving and resident-oriented. At the same time, there are recurring operational criticisms: communication delays, management turnover, rent increases with limited transparency, and overlaps between administrative and maintenance responsibilities that can slow responses. Emergency systems (personal pendants/alarms) have been reported as unreliable in some instances, an operational risk area that prospective residents should clarify at tour time.

Notable patterns and recommendations: Solista Gresham is best suited to residents seeking an affordable, socially active community with strong hospitality and a chef-driven dining program. Prospective residents and families who require consistent overnight clinical coverage, reliable medication administration, or fully accessible transportation should ask specific, up‑to‑date questions during a tour — for example, about 24/7 on-site clinical staffing, pendant-testing and replacement procedures, medication-management protocols, housekeeping schedules, and vehicle accessibility features. Clarify current management structure and recent changes to staffing or food-service operations to assess how recent turnover or ownership transitions may affect day-to-day service reliability.

    About Solista Gresham

Solista Gresham sits as a three-story senior living community with a variety of care options, supporting independent living, assisted living, memory care, and even skilled nursing all on one campus, so folks can move through the different services if their needs change, which is something a lot of families appreciate because they don't have to move to another building or city if extra support becomes necessary down the road. The apartments are all newly renovated, and residents can pick from studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom layouts, each with handy kitchenettes, bathrooms, closets, and some have their own patios, with wood-style flooring and a small dining area so it really feels like a home instead of someplace sterile. Community spaces are plentiful, with a big library full of books, a movie theater room, a cozy TV lounge, a media room, game spaces including billiards, and even pub-style spots with rooftop decks, and there are outdoor patios, garden areas, firepit gathering spots, and walking paths for folks who like a bit of fresh air or time with the flowers. Pets are allowed here, which people always like to hear, and there are plenty of pet-friendly spaces where dogs and cats are welcome, adding to the homey feeling.

The dining team serves three meals a day cooked from scratch by a chef, with restaurant-style dining rooms, a bistro, tea parties, and fun appetizer socials, with special menus for those who need or prefer certain diets, and the gathering spaces mean residents often spend time together at meals or clubs. For safety and peace of mind, Solista Gresham has things like 24/7 emergency and non-emergency response, using the Lively Mobile Plus GPS-enabled device and a staff that can help with almost anything, from medication assistance, bathing, and dressing, to managing health appointments and transportation, which is done by private vans or buses for trips, shopping, and doctor visits. There's wheelchair access, wide halls, safety rails, and staff available around the clock, so people don't worry so much about accidents. Care services are arranged through trusted third-party providers, or personal caregivers can work with residents right in their own apartments, letting folks get help without losing independence.

The community puts a focus on togetherness, with lots of activity programs that really get people involved, like the Forever Fit movement class, the Pawsitive Health thing with pets, Melody & Masterpiece for music and art, themed socials like Bingo and game-day gatherings, Starlight Shows, hobby workshops, gardening, and the Memories in Motion program, plus regular outings with the group to explore town or get things done at the store. For those who like to stay busy, there's a fitness center, arts room, reading spots, a hair and nail salon, and plenty of classes, or sometimes just a bench in the shade next to the garden for quiet days. Weekly housekeeping, linen service, and maintenance make it so people don't have to fuss over chores and can use more time joining in activities or resting. Solista Gresham allows folks to age in place, with support as needs change, including services for those with Alzheimer's or other kinds of dementia, with behavioral support, secure areas, and a focus on comfort for those who need memory care, and it's always been part of the Cogir Senior Living group so the place looks and feels more like a nice hotel than a medical facility, which helps everyone feel welcome.

The staff takes pride in making Solista Gresham feel like a family, with Executive Director Kerry-Jo Brady leading the team, building a warm, supportive environment where neighbors make friends and no one has to feel left out, and for people thinking of moving, the prices start at $2,150 for a studio, with choices up to two-bedroom units, all in a building made for comfort, good company, and as much freedom as folks want.
