    Wonderful staff, great amenities, dated

    I toured the place and the staff were wonderful - I liked the resident-run concept and quiet wooded setting. The units are large with full kitchens, on-site gym/pool/spa/game room/courtyard and a restaurant (one meal/day included, extras $10; dining billed separately from monthly fees); lots of activities (games, book club, puzzles, flexible clubs). Downsides: long waiting list, dated apartments/carpet, dark/outdated lighting and generally depressing interior, plus a resale price cap to consider.
