    Attentive professional staff and facility

I placed my mother here three years ago and we've been very pleased. The staff are knowledgeable, caring, and responsive; nursing and rehab teams helped her regain mobility and we receive regular updates and photos that keep our family involved. The facility is clean, welcoming, offers good meals and activities, and administration addresses concerns promptly during ongoing upgrades. I recommend this facility for attentive, professional long-term care.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewers present a polarized view of care at this facility: many families describe strong clinical and rehabilitative services while others raise significant operational concerns. Positive accounts emphasize competent nursing and therapy teams, effective medication management, and strong rehab outcomes (including daily physical therapy and improved mobility). The facility also receives praise for engaging activities, supportive social-work services, well-equipped therapy spaces, and pleasant outdoor gardens that contribute to resident morale. Several reviewers described a welcoming admission process and continued post-discharge contact from staff, and long-term residents and their families sometimes characterize the environment as respectful and attentive.

At the same time, a number of reviews identify persistent sanitation and maintenance issues. These include generalized cleanliness concerns, odor concerns in certain areas, pest-control concerns, and rooms with deferred maintenance or outdated amenities. Related operational gaps include lapses in linen and bed care and delays in attending to incontinence needs. Families reported that these issues can coincide with slow response times from staff during particular shifts and with high use of temporary personnel.

Staff performance is described as highly variable. Many reviews emphasize friendly, compassionate, and skilled caregivers and nurses who provide attentive, dignity-preserving care. Contrasting accounts describe problems with staff conduct and professionalism, including distractions (cell-phone use, smoking in work areas), curt communication, and inconsistent oversight by leadership. Management responsiveness is likewise inconsistent: some families report prompt resolution of concerns, while others say the director is frequently unavailable and complaints have required escalation to external authorities.

Dining and food service attract mixed feedback. Several reviewers praise meals and a pleasant dining atmosphere, but others describe inconsistent meal quality, cold or unappealing food, and occasional lapses in meal delivery and tray collection. Therapy and clinical follow-up show similar variability: many residents receive timely, effective rehab that yields measurable improvements, while others experience delayed therapy starts, gaps in follow-up after clinical incidents, or slow nursing responses to equipment or wound-care issues.

Taken together, the pattern is one of uneven performance across shifts and units. Strengths are concentrated in clinical and rehabilitative services and among staff members who are experienced and engaged. Weaknesses center on facility-wide operational areas: cleanliness and pest control, consistent staffing and supervision, maintenance of older infrastructure, dining reliability, and management accessibility. Prospective residents and families should consider an in-person tour at different times of day, inquire about current staffing patterns and pest-control/maintenance plans, review recent state inspection findings, and ask for specifics about therapy start times and care escalation procedures to assess whether the facility’s strengths align with their needs.
