    Warm, clean, attentive senior home

I toured this smaller, calm senior home and felt reassured - Maria and the caregivers are warm, kind, and capable, and staff are consistently helpful and attentive. Rooms are very clean with recliners, bathrooms are handicap-accessible with grab bars, meals are fresh home-cooked, and the companionship and supervision here make me comfortable placing a loved one.

    Summary of reviews

Venezia Place presents as a small, neighborhood assisted living community with a calm, home-like atmosphere. Reviewers consistently describe clean rooms, comfortable furnishings, and a generally safe environment. The facility is positioned as affordable and intimate, which some families find beneficial for companionship and closer day-to-day attention.

Care and staff: Caregivers are described as kind, friendly, and attentive. Multiple accounts highlight a capable house manager and named management presence, which appears to contribute to perceived responsiveness and a stable daily routine. Families noted that residents who require prompting and supervision receive increased attention compared with prior settings, suggesting the staff can support mild-to-moderate assistance needs. At the same time, the collective comments suggest potential limitations for residents requiring more advanced dementia-specific programming or complex mobility support.

Dining: Dining is cited as a strength. Meals are characterized as fresh and home-cooked daily, with generally positive impressions of food quality and presentation. This contributes to the facility’s sense of homeliness and daily routine.

Activities: Activity offerings appear limited; reviewers referenced minimal programming beyond television. Prospective residents seeking structured social or therapeutic activities may find the calendar sparse and should inquire directly about scheduled engagement opportunities or offsite arrangements.

Facilities and accessibility: The building is described as older but maintained and clean. Rooms include practical furnishings such as recliners, and bathrooms have accessible features like grab bars. However, there are indications of inconsistent accommodation of mobility equipment and limited availability of private rooms. These operational constraints may affect residents who rely on wheelchairs or who require private-room placement.

Management, cost, and notable patterns: Management presence and personal attention are recurring positives, and the facility’s pricing is perceived as reasonable. The small scale of the home supports individualized interaction and roommate companionship for some residents. Patterns to watch for include the facility’s aging infrastructure, constrained activity programming, and potential limits in equipment accommodation and specialized dementia services. Families should confirm current policies on mobility-device acceptance, private-room availability, and the extent of dementia-specific programming during a visit to determine fit for higher-acuity needs.

    About Venezia Place Assisted Living

Venezia Place Assisted Living sits on the northwest side of Tucson at 7141 N Vía Venezia, with mountains nearby and a desert view that gives things a quiet, peaceful feel, and it's a smaller, licensed home for up to 10 residents, although licenses are still pending. The house offers both private and shared bedrooms, so some people might have a room to themselves while others may have a roommate, which means everyone gets to pick what they need or want. There are 8 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, all with features like wheelchair-accessible showers, and there's always a caregiver available day or night to help with bathing, dressing, or managing medicine. People who live here can bring their pets since there are pet-friendly policies, and staff try to support personal needs, including special diets or other requests, plus there's space for residents of any gender as long as the right arrangements are made. The community offers both on-site and offsite activities to help keep everyone active, along with an activity room for games, an enclosed patio for safety outside, and both indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxing or socializing; there's even a swimming pool and a hot tub for those who want it. Food and meals are a focus, and staff work to address dietary concerns while also providing a dining area and a beauty and barber area for haircuts or other services. Residents receive a care plan that matches their needs, whether it's just some assistance with daily activities or more advanced care, and services include support for all three care levels, with options for hospice, respite, and medical help from nurses, therapists, and visiting doctors. Nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech therapists are available, plus there's a house manager on-site, and Andrea Soto, a registered nurse, oversees the care to help make sure things are handled properly, with Pat Soto as the owner. Staff here are often described as joyful, helpful, and kind, focusing on making people comfortable and giving a home-like feeling. There's parking for residents, and someone can schedule a tour if they're interested. Prices for assisted living start at $2,500. The whole aim here is to give seniors a safe, calm, and supportive place to live, where everyone can get the help they need, whether that's with daily activities, special care, or just enjoying some quiet time with friends, in a smaller community with personal attention in each part of daily life.
