    Attentive compassionate care hands-on management

I placed my parent here and I'm very pleased with the attentive, compassionate staff and hands-on management - Cristina and her team went above and beyond. The home is clean and comfortable, meals are family-style and tasty, activities and backyard visits keep residents engaged, and communication and hospice coordination were excellent. I recommend this warm, well-run facility for respectful, resident-focused care.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment in the reviews is mixed but clearly split between positive impressions of direct caregiving and significant concerns about facility-level management and policies. Multiple reviewers emphasize that the frontline caregivers provided compassionate, patient-focused care—especially for dementia—naming Aires and Rizza as standout staff. Families reported that their loved ones were kept clean, seemed well cared for, and that they observed no inappropriate behavior. One reviewer described the family experience as positive in terms of day-to-day personal care, and the facility was described as clean with a good tour experience prior to placement.

Despite those strengths, several serious and recurring concerns were raised that affect overall satisfaction and trust. Reviewers described poor management practices and noted the facility operates on a board-and-care model with no on-site medical staff. That lack of on-site clinical coverage was a clear worry for families. Nighttime coverage and sleep-related issues were called out specifically: reviewers reported sleep issues and an extra $80 per night charge for night staff that was not part of the original agreement. These unexpected fees and staffing gaps created friction and contributed to at least one family deciding to move their loved one out and not recommend the facility.

Policies and environment also generated criticism. One reviewer reported a very restrictive visiting policy (one visitor per week), which significantly impacted family access and likely contributed to the emotional stress surrounding placement. Reviewers also mentioned that some residents were more difficult to manage—indicating behavioral challenges in the population—which can compound staffing and care demands, especially in a board-and-care setting without on-site medical personnel.

Patterns across the reviews point to a consistent theme: high-quality hands-on caregiving from specific staff contrasted with operational and policy shortcomings at the facility level. The praised caregivers and the clean environment create a foundation of trust in personal care; however, issues such as lack of on-site medical oversight, unexpected night staffing fees, sleep/coverage problems, restrictive visitation policies, and perceived poor management weigh heavily on overall recommendations. There is limited or no information in the reviews about dining, structured activities, rehabilitation services, or clinical care protocols, so those areas remain unclear.

In summary, potential residents and families should weigh the strong individualized, dementia-capable caregiving and cleanliness against the facility's management limitations, lack of on-site medical staff, restrictive visitation rules, and the possibility of extra nighttime charges. For families prioritizing compassionate direct-care staff, this facility showed real strengths. For those requiring reliable clinical oversight, transparent billing and flexible visitation, the reviews suggest significant concerns that warrant caution, direct questioning during tours, and written clarifications in contracts before committing.
