The Cove at Marsh Landing offers assisted living and memory care, with both types of care available to meet each resident's needs as they change over time, and they've even prepared for hurricanes which gives peace of mind. The community sits near the beach and tries to bring that relaxing feeling indoors, saying they lean into an "island-inspired" approach. Residents can pick from studios, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom apartments with a kitchenette and private bathroom, and all come with emergency call systems and cable or satellite TV. Meals are served restaurant-style at tables with linens, with a menu made by a personal chef, and folks can join in daily social hours, group activities like bingo or painting, and walking or gardening clubs. They also have physical therapy, home health care, a program for veterans benefits, and the Hearts welcome program to help new residents feel at home right away. Amenities include things like a billiards room, movie theater, arts and crafts studio, residents lounge, community garden, and easy walking paths. The staff includes real nurses and are always there, day or night, to help out, and the care's compassionate and personal every day. They offer respite stays and make all services all-inclusive, covering a range from assisted living to advanced memory care and even some independent living support. SRI Management, LLC runs the place, and they make sure a range of classes are available without extra charge for the residents.

Warm staff, homey, but problematic
I placed my mom here and overall I'm pleased - the staff (Sondra especially) are warm and attentive, the food and activities are excellent, and the apartments, gardens and location feel homey and convenient. That said, frequent staff turnover/shortages, spotty leadership, housekeeping lapses (even pest reports), medication/laundry mistakes and a fall left me concerned. Good value and a lively social scene, but ask hard questions about staffing, memory care availability, cleanliness and billing before you commit.
