    Spotless facility, warm attentive staff

I placed my mom here and am very pleased. The facility is spotless, homey and well-maintained with apartment-style rooms and a lovely courtyard. Meals are fresh-made and delicious. The staff are professional, warm and attentive - they truly treat residents like family; special thanks to Sandi and Diane (and Pam and Nathan) for a smooth, caring transition. Plenty of activities, live music and outings keep residents engaged, and I feel confident my loved one is safe and well cared for.

    Summary of reviews

Cabot Cove of Largo presents as a small, single-floor assisted living community with a consistent pattern of positive family experience around staff, dining, cleanliness, and social programming. Reviews indicate long-tenured leadership and an established caregiving team that many families find compassionate, personable, and responsive. The facility is described repeatedly as clean and well-maintained, with thorough housekeeping and laundry services, apartment-style private rooms (each with a private bathroom), and a compact campus that supports easier mobility and reduced fall risk.

Clinical care is generally described as attentive and personalized: reviewers note on-site medical resources including a physician and physical therapy, med-techs trained in dementia care, and staff who know residents by name. Families report personalized care plans and good day-to-day support for activities of daily living. That said, reviewers also identify limitations in clinical scope. There are references to constrained capacity for managing infections or higher-acuity clinical events and to challenges coordinating hospice services; these items point to operational limits typical of smaller assisted living settings rather than to wholesale care quality failure. Medication-administration scope and hospice coordination have been noted as areas where families may need advance clarification.

Dining and activities are recurring strengths. The dining program is frequently described as full-service, with made-from-scratch meals, menu choices, and attention to dietary needs. Social programming includes a dedicated activities director, daily exercise options (including chair exercises), live music events, arts/crafts, outings to local restaurants and shopping, and family-friendly events such as barbecues. Participation levels vary: the calendar is full, but resident engagement can be uneven and weekend activity coverage has been characterized as lighter at times.

Facility amenities align with the community's small scale: a beauty salon, courtyard and gazebo, entertainment area, and pet-friendly policies are all noted positively. The trade-off for the intimate, homelike environment is limited shared space; reviewers mention compact common areas and modest room sizes. Operationally, a few recurring administrative weaknesses appear: inconsistent admissions communication or rushed tours, occasional supply-management lapses (for example with linens or consumables), and occasional billing or follow-up errors. Several families nonetheless praised management responsiveness when issues were raised.

Overall patterns show a facility that is strong on interpersonal care, cleanliness, food quality, and social programming within a smaller, single-floor setting that offers good value. Prospective residents and families should weigh the benefits of a small, family-like community and strong activity and dining programs against potential constraints in clinical scope, limited common-area space, and occasional administrative or supply-management variability. Asking specific questions about infection-response protocols, hospice coordination, security procedures, weekend activity schedules, and admissions communication during a tour will help clarify whether Cabot Cove of Largo aligns with a particular resident’s clinical and social needs.

    About Cabot Cove of Largo

Cabot Cove of Largo sits on a single floor and has recently renovated its inside and outside spaces, which help make the place feel fresh and pleasant, and folks can find a warm, inviting atmosphere with staff trained to help with first aid, medication, behavior support, and memory care. People living here get help with everyday needs like bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, using the restroom, and incontinence care, plus there's access to health services right at home, like physical, occupational, and speech therapy through EmpowerMe Wellness, and diagnostic or lab services, and for those who need it, hospice and medication reminders are available, too. The rooms at Cabot Cove give residents closet space, Wi-Fi, cable TV, and come furnished, and the building is set up for wheelchairs and easy access, including safety features like personal medical alert systems, fall prevention programs, and regular safety checks, while the Secure Care wander management system and Bosch-ADT safety system make sure everyone stays safe, especially folks in memory care who might be at risk of wandering. The community has both communal and private dining rooms, so residents can enjoy home-cooked meals with waiter service or gather with guests for special occasions-plus, there are snacks and drinks available all day, and if someone doesn't like what's on the menu one day, different options are always offered. People living here can enjoy amenities like a dining room, guest parking, computer room, entertainment venues, garden, hair and nail salon, and enclosed or secure outdoor areas that include beautifully landscaped gardens and walking paths, which make for a nice place to get fresh air or walk pets, because the place is pet-friendly, too. Social life gets a lot of attention, so residents can join in programs for brain fitness, arts and crafts, music, dancing, theater, bingo, card games, and outings like shopping, religious services, or hobby programs-some days there might be fitness classes like yoga, Tai Chi, stretching, group exercise, or chair fitness, and organized events help bring everyone together, especially around holidays. Staff members do the housekeeping, laundry, groundskeeping, and pest control, so living here means less to worry about, and services like mail delivery, newspaper delivery, and even fax come standard, while financial aid referrals are available for folks who need help with payments. Cabot Cove of Largo takes Medicaid, private pay, and long-term care insurance, and offers a flexible approach so care adjusts as health needs change-they have assisted living for folks who need some help, independent options for those who want freedom, and memory care for those with dementia, all in a community that focuses on health, nutrition, happiness, and supporting independence, where the goal is to help everyone keep a balanced, full life, and even though the rooms are simple, cable TV comes free and the staff tries to make the atmosphere feel like family. Tours are available for those interested, and the facility keeps a blog for senior well-being, so folks and families can learn more about what's going on and how life here really looks.
