    Caring staff clean welcoming community

I placed my mom at this newer community and I'm very pleased. The staff - especially Stephanie and her team - are caring, compassionate and always go the extra mile to make residents feel at home. The building is beautiful and spotlessly clean, with lots of daily activities, outings and a warm, family-like atmosphere. Meals, therapy and attentive nurses keep my mom happy and thriving, and leadership is responsive when I have questions. Overall a safe, welcoming place where my mom is well cared for, with a little room to keep getting even better.

    Summary of reviews

The Addison of Narcoossee is described predominantly as a clean, attractive, and well-run senior living community with a strong emphasis on interpersonal care and an active social environment. Reviewers consistently highlight compassionate and attentive staff, from nursing caregivers to activities personnel, and many remark on quick responsiveness from management when issues arise. The community atmosphere is frequently characterized as warm and family-like, with staff who take time to engage residents personally and a visible focus on resident dignity and independence.

Care quality and staffing: Families and residents commonly praise the day-to-day caregiving and clinical support, including assistance with medications and coordinated clinical operations. Staffing relationships are a clear strength when teams are stable — reviewers emphasize respectful, patient, and professional interactions. At the same time, several operational concerns cluster around workforce continuity: turnover associated with recent rebranding and some departures has been noted, which can affect consistency of caregivers and familiarity with residents. There are also isolated concerns about monitoring nutritional status and weight that prospective families should discuss during visits and care-plan reviews.

Dining and food service: Dining experiences elicit mixed feedback. Many reviewers describe meals as good and appreciate regular meal service, but a number of comments point to inconsistent food quality and community upset about meal service at times. Management has acknowledged these issues in reviews and indicated efforts to improve, though some families noted a lack of a clear timeline for changes. Prospective residents should ask about current dining management, menu cycles, and mechanisms for addressing food-service concerns.

Activities and social programming: The community receives strong praise for programming overall — a diverse calendar, creative activities leadership, frequent outings (shopping trips, lunches, themed events), and an engaged activities director. These offerings appear to support social engagement, improved mood, and meaningful purpose for many residents. However, reviewers indicate that activity programming can be uneven in the memory-care unit; families should evaluate the memory-care schedule and staff-to-resident engagement during a tour if cognitive-support services are being considered.

Facilities and environment: The physical setting is noted as a selling point: bright interiors, tasteful decor, a clean spa area, and resort-style appointments. Cleanliness and maintenance are repeatedly commended, contributing to perceptions of safety and comfort. The community size is described variably — some families appreciate the smaller, close-knit atmosphere, while others expected a larger resident population and broader programming options.

Management and patterns: Management responsiveness and family communication are frequently cited as positives, with examples of timely issue resolution and proactive family events. Conversely, aspects of change management (rebranding, staff turnover) and the pace of corrective actions for operational issues (notably dining) are areas where prospective families may want concrete assurances. Cost is another clear consideration: several reviewers note relatively high fees, so financial clarity and contract terms should be discussed during the decision process.

Overall impression: The Addison of Narcoossee projects as a community with strong relational care, robust activities, and a well-maintained facility that many families find comforting and effective. Key decision points for prospective residents and families are dining consistency, continuity of staffing, memory-care activity structure, and pricing. A focused tour that assesses current meal service, memory-care programming, staffing stability, and care-plan details will help align expectations with the community’s strengths and address the operational concerns described above.

    About The Addison of Narcoossee

The Addison of Narcoossee is a small senior living community with only 45 apartments, so people tend to know each other well and the staff treat residents like family, which some folks find comforting. The whole place is one level, which means it's easier for everyone to get around, and the building stays clean and pleasant. The staff has more than 25 years of experience with seniors and seem focused on being caring, patient, and attentive, since they've received several awards like the Top 50 in Aging Services by Fortune magazine and multiple Pinnacle Customer Service Awards, plus they've been a certified Great Place to Work for three years running. The community offers different types of care, so people can choose assisted living if they need help with daily tasks, independent living if they like doing most things on their own, and memory care for those living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia-the memory care program tries to keep confusion down and prevent wandering. You'll find safety features meant for wellbeing, and the community works to create a supportive place for everyone. Residents have group activities, social events, and recreational options that are made to help people connect and stay active. The staff also sets up personalized care plans so each person gets the help and attention they need. Adult day services are available, too, if a family needs it. Even though not every detail about amenities or services is clear, The Addison of Narcoossee stands out for keeping things personal, family-friendly, and focused on making residents comfortable and safe in a small, easy-to-navigate community designed for senior living.
