    About Lakes

Lakes offers different types of residential living options for seniors who need various levels of care, and the community includes several named buildings like The Lakes Apartments, Club Hill Apartments, and other locations such as FLINTLOCK DRIVE, TRULY A BLESSING, NORTH FIELD PCH, VETERANS PARKWAY ADAPTIVE GP, SPRING HARBOR AT GREEN ISLAND, F & L HOME, CELIA DRIVE, and 6238 MOON ROAD, which all have different apartment and housing setups with both small and larger capacities, sometimes as few as 2 or 3 units and in some cases up to 60 residents. Residents can pick from studio suites, one-bedroom apartments, semi-private rooms, and fully furnished units, and most areas are pet-friendly, so people can bring their small pets along if they like. Seniors get help with daily living tasks like bathing, dressing, meals, and medication, and there's also staff on duty 24 hours a day, along with regular health and wellness checks from a doctor and nurse every month.

There's a strong focus on providing both long-term and short-term care, and memory care is available at many facilities for people living with Alzheimer's disease or other types of dementia, plus some places, like House of Prosperity PCH, Restorative Personal Care Home, and Peaceful River CLA, offer specialized support and care. The community has emergency alert buttons in rooms, scheduled outings and birthday parties, arts and crafts activities, a game room, a dedicated movie area, a library, a cafe, a communal kitchen, and a therapy section. Folks can take part in exercise and fitness classes, use the walking trail or community garden, and join in resident and family gatherings, while dining is handled with three meals a day, including special menus for allergies, diabetes, or other dietary needs.

Housekeeping, transportation, and laundry (even dry cleaning) are handled by staff, so people don't have to worry about keeping things tidy or getting to appointments, and there's both shared and private transportation offered. Residents find high-speed internet, flat-screen TVs, a computer room, planned social events, birthday and holiday parties, and even on-site catering for special occasions. The community also helps new residents move in, making the transition as smooth as possible. Nurses do monthly assessments, and the team helps with medication management, diabetes management, and works with outside healthcare providers when needed.

Each location is a little different since capacities, layouts, and features vary, but the common theme is safe, comfortable apartments-sometimes studios or one-bedrooms, sometimes shared rooms-with emergency systems and round-the-clock staff. Some places combine assisted living, respite stays, and memory care, and many buildings are set up with keyless entry for privacy and security. Caregivers help with ambulation, feeding, and transfer needs, and there's special training for staff to handle conditions like Parkinson's, memory loss, or trouble speaking. Landscaped grounds and outdoor spaces make it easy for residents to find a quiet spot or take in the fresh air.

Residents can visit with family during regular hours, join in group events, or find privacy and quiet time in their own space, and everything at Lakes is set up to meet the different needs and interests of seniors-support for everyday life tasks, plenty of activities, and medical care when required, all in a welcoming and well-kept setting in Columbus, GA.
