    Homey, attentive care, spotless facility

I chose this small, homey community for my mom and have been very pleased - staff are long-tenured, attentive and caring, meals are homemade and tasty, meds are handled professionally, and the facility is spotless with cozy common areas, gardens and regular activities like bingo and worship. Director Lynn Pittman and the team are compassionate and responsive; I'd highly recommend this family-like place.

    Summary of reviews

Kimberly Personal Care Home is described consistently as a small, locally owned, home-style community with a family-oriented culture. Many reviewers praised the caregiving team and leadership—naming the director for being knowledgeable, patient, and comforting to families—and highlighted long-tenured staff, low turnover, and a first-name environment that contributes to a personalized feel. Clinical strengths noted include structured medication management, coordination with an on-site physician and CNC pharmacy, and specialized programs for diabetes, memory care, and incontinence needs. Routine safety practices such as two-hour checks and hydration reminders were also mentioned positively.

Dining and daily living are frequently described as homelike: reviewers cited hot, homemade meals, regular three-meal service, snacks, and attention to laundry and linens. At the same time, there is some inconsistency in meal experience; while many families praised food quality, a subset described less satisfactory meals. Activity programming includes bingo, worship services, arts and crafts, exercise, a beautician, reading programs, live music and occasional larger events (for example, a petting-zoo visit). Reviewers often appreciated the family room for visits, library and entertainment room, and outdoor gardens and courtyard; however, some found activities repetitive or wanted more variety and social time.

Facility condition is generally described as clean, well-kept, and pleasantly maintained, with reviewers noting cozy common areas and a small, comfortable scale (approximately 38 beds). Some practical limitations were raised: several comments pointed to smaller room sizes and limited closet/storage space. Operational concerns centered on staffing patterns and availability—observers sometimes found staff hard to locate or engaged in high workloads, producing variability in responsiveness. A few reviewers raised more serious concerns about personal-item security and incontinence-supply handling; one or more reviews included allegations of staff theft and improper handling of personal items. These are significant issues to follow up on directly with management and through inspection of facility policies and records.

Management and family communication are generally praised for being supportive and approachable, and many families described positive tour experiences and ongoing satisfaction. A small number of visitors reported less welcoming interactions with particular staff or leadership, suggesting variability in communication tone. Location can be a practical drawback for some families, as it is noted to be distant for relatives who travel frequently.

Overall, Kimberly Personal Care Home presents as a small, well-maintained community with strengths in personalized caregiving, medication coordination, and a home-like environment. Prospective families should weigh those strengths against operational issues highlighted above—particularly staffing availability, activity variety, room/storage size, and any concerns about personal-item security—and are advised to ask management for documentation of staffing levels, activity schedules, incident logs, and policies for personal-item handling during a visit or before placement.

    About Kimberly Personal Care Home

Kimberly Personal Care Home sits in Dallas, Georgia, and provides a calm, small-scale living option for seniors who value a quiet place among friends, and you can tell it's designed to feel much like a family house, with less than ten residents in each home and 34 private rooms with their own bathrooms so folks keep their privacy and dignity. People who move here can choose from studio or semi-private apartments, and everyone gets to decorate with their own things. Seniors get help with daily living, like bathing, dressing, medication reminders, and they have staff doing regular checks every couple of hours to make sure everyone's safe and cared for, and the staff aims to be loving and respectful so residents always feel welcome.

The community helps people who need independent living, assisted living, memory care, or even nursing home options, and if hospice care's needed, they have that too, all from trained, state-licensed caregivers. Residents get meals cooked fresh-nutritious and hot-served family-style in a group dining space, and visitors are welcome at meals, which turns each mealtime into a chance to socialize. There's a full activity schedule with things like group outings, music from a resident musical group, book clubs, game nights, hobbies and crafts, and exercise in the gym or outdoors on the patios and gardens, and people can join lectures, devotional services, or book groups as well-there's always plenty going on to keep minds and bodies active.

Residents have access to things many seniors appreciate, like indoor and outdoor common spaces with TVs and internet, a recreation room, and laundry and housekeeping done weekly or when needed, so everything stays clean and fresh, and sheets get changed every week. To help with health, the staff encourages good hydration, sometimes placing water by nightstands to keep UTIs at bay, and on top of primary assistance, they have visits from physical and occupational therapists, salon and barber services onsite, scheduled transportation to shopping, activities, or medical appointments, and they offer VA benefit support if anyone needs help figuring that out.

Pets are allowed, though currently none live at the home, and community rules stop smoking in all indoor spaces, making things safer and cleaner. The place is licensed (PCH002285), wheelchair accessible, and fits those who don't like big crowds. Residents can also find religious services, parking for guests, and units set up for cable or wifi. There's an entry fee and some extra costs, like for incontinence care, but the reported price is about $3,000 each month, which is common for the area. All in all, Kimberly Personal Care Home aims to blend comfort, friendship, and tailored care so every resident can feel respected, safe, and as independent as possible, with everything they need easy to reach and caring staff always nearby.
