    Caring clean responsive safe community

I moved my mom in and I'm very impressed. The staff are professional, kind, and go above and beyond - Keshia in memory care is outstanding and management is respectful and responsive. The facility is clean and recently renovated, with pleasant dining, engaging activities, good therapy and transportation, and my loved one feels safe, happy, and well cared for; I would recommend this welcoming community.

    Summary of reviews

Regal Pointe East Cobb elicits strongly mixed impressions. Many families and visitors praise the staff’s compassion and individualized care, particularly in the memory-care neighborhood, and note the presence of specialized dementia programming and regular physician involvement through an Emory affiliation. The community offers on-site therapy and rehabilitation, a full calendar of activities, social spaces (including an on-site pub), relocation assistance, and fixed-fee medication-management options — all supported by recently renovated interiors, outdoor patios, and generally clean resident rooms.

Care quality and staffing show both strengths and variability. Numerous accounts describe attentive, respectful caregivers, strong family communication, and effective care coordination — including supportive hospice involvement. At the same time, recurring concerns center on inconsistent staff training and turnover, language proficiency issues for some aides, and delays in responding to pendant calls and other emergencies. Prospective families should probe current staffing ratios, staff continuity, and pendant-response metrics during visits.

Dining and daily services are a notable area of divergence. While the facility offers restaurant-style dining, reviewers repeatedly describe inconsistent meal temperature and seasoning, limited menu choices, and frequent shortages of condiments, cups, lids and other dining supplies. These issues appear tied in part to inventory or delivery problems; families should ask about current kitchen management, meal-service processes, and contingency plans for supply interruptions.

Facilities and operations present both positives and operational risks. The property’s recent renovations, pleasant common areas and green space are often highlighted. Conversely, operational weak points raised include recurring maintenance failures (for example with elevators and transportation vehicles), laundry and personal-property management problems, and episodic sanitation or pest-control concerns. Parking and site-access constraints were also noted.

Management and governance show polarized feedback. Several reviewers commend specific managers and staff for professionalism and responsiveness; others describe slow complaint resolution, leadership turnover, and governance issues that have led some families to file regulatory complaints. An 80/C health inspection score and other operational concerns were cited by some reviewers; there were also serious individual claims about financial and administrative conduct that families may wish to verify independently.

Bottom line: Regal Pointe East Cobb offers many of the programmatic and clinical features that families seek — dementia expertise, therapy services, active programming, and a renovated, social environment — and many residents and families report very positive experiences. However, the consistency of daily operations (meal service, maintenance, laundry, sanitation) and management stability have been uneven in the recent past. A recommended approach for prospective residents is to (1) tour during a meal service, (2) ask for current inspection and staffing records, (3) request specifics on pendant-response times and maintenance schedules, and (4) speak with current families about recent operational changes before making a placement decision.
