    Friendly staff and excellent rehab

I'm very pleased with the friendly, compassionate staff and an amazing rehab team that helped me make real progress. The building and common areas are clean and pleasant, meals are enjoyable, medical care is attentive, and management and staff have been responsive and supportive during the ongoing room remodels.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews describe a facility with contrasting strengths and weaknesses. On the positive side, short-term rehabilitation services โ€” including physical and occupational therapy โ€” receive consistent praise, with families noting measurable functional gains during stays. Caregiving staff are described by some as compassionate and friendly, and many reviewers found the main hallways and common areas to be well maintained and free of offensive odors. There are also indications that some rooms are being renovated, and that parts of the building present in a clean, orderly manner.

However, clinical care and day-to-day nursing oversight appear inconsistent. Several reviewers described problems with wound care, postoperative infection management, and cases where nursing teams did not follow discharge or physician instructions promptly; these accounts suggest gaps in clinical-incident response and coordination with treating physicians. Night shift performance and responsiveness to urgent resident calls were singled out as weaker areas, and there are repeated concerns about inadequate fall-monitoring and delayed assistance when residents requested help.

Staffing and staff conduct emerge as recurring operational themes. Reviewers indicate the facility is frequently understaffed and that workload pressures may contribute to variable care quality. Comments about rude or inattentive front-line staff, inconsistent communication tone, and turnover in managerial positions point to uneven staff training and supervisory oversight. At the same time, several families praised individual caregivers and the rehabilitation team, indicating that experiences vary by staff member and shift.

Facility condition and housekeeping present a mixed picture. Main common areas are often described positively, but reviewers also reported cleanliness and maintenance issues in resident rooms and bathrooms, including peeling finishes and water-stain concerns. Furnishings in some rooms are described as worn or broken, and ongoing renovation work has left some rooms in transition. There are also specific accessibility concerns at the front entrance that may not meet ADA expectations.

Administrative and operational processes also show inconsistency. Reviewers referenced billing problems, lost or misplaced personal items, and frequent changes in management or facility name, which can complicate family communication and continuity of care. Activity programming and access to resident activities were described as limited or inconsistently available, and roommate dynamics (noise, disruption) were noted as a factor that can affect resident comfort.

A small number of reviews described serious individual incidents, including clinical complications that required physician intervention or escalation beyond the facility; these comments indicate that families who observe clinical or safety lapses seek external involvement. Prospective residents and families should weigh the facilityโ€™s demonstrated rehabilitation strengths against the documented variability in nursing care, housekeeping, staffing levels, and administrative practices. Visiting in person, speaking directly with the current nursing leadership and therapy team, reviewing recent inspection reports, and asking about staffing ratios, fall-prevention protocols, infection-control procedures, and grievance/billing resolution processes are recommended steps before making a placement decision.
