    Nurse-run, family-like care, highly recommend

I'm very pleased with this nurse-run, family-like facility - the owners and staff are wonderful, attentive, and communicative. My loved one enjoys the meals (they accommodated a pureed diet), activities (even a bonfire with s'mores), and flexible room choices; staff consistently work with our family. It's convenient, great value, and I would recommend it to other families.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with repeated praise for the quality of care, the staff, and the value offered by A and R Premiere Care. Reviewers consistently highlight attentive, compassionate staff and owners, describing the environment as family-like and supportive. There are multiple mentions that families would recommend or refer the community, indicating high satisfaction, although one review notes that referrals are conditional on available space.

Care quality stands out as a central strength. Reviewers describe the care as exceptional and attentive, with staff demonstrating a willingness to work closely with families and to accommodate individual resident needs (explicitly noted is the community's ability to provide and adapt pureed diets). The owners are called out positively for their involvement and the hands-on nature of the care provided, reinforcing a perception of strong leadership and oversight.

Staffing and communication receive repeated positive comments. Reviews emphasize that staff are wonderful, attentive, and proactive — not only delivering daily care but also visiting rooms to encourage participation in activities. Families report good communication from the community, and staff are described as willing to collaborate with family members on residents' needs and preferences.

Dining and activities are also highlighted as meaningful contributors to resident well-being. Meals are described as enjoyable, with staff accommodating special dietary requirements. Activities appear varied and engaging; a specific example given is a bonfire with s'mores, which illustrates an effort to create social, community-building events. The combination of well-liked meals and purposeful activities supports both nutrition and social engagement for residents.

Facilities and practical considerations are mentioned positively. Reviewers appreciate the option to choose their own room and cite the community's convenient location. Several comments characterize the service as offering high overall value for the cost, suggesting that families feel they receive proportionate benefits for the price paid.

The primary concern that emerges across the reviews is limited physical capacity. One review explicitly states they would refer the community to others if there were more room, which implies that availability can be a constraint and that the community may be at or near capacity at times. Aside from this availability limitation, there are no substantive negative themes in the provided summaries. Taken together, the reviews paint a picture of a small, well-run community with strong staff engagement, good communication, personalized care options, enjoyable meals and activities, and a generally high level of family satisfaction, tempered mainly by occasional limited room availability.

About A and R Premiere Care

A and R Premiere Care stands out as a state-licensed assisted living and adult foster care facility that's owned by a registered nurse with over 13 years of nursing experience in oncology, Alzheimer's, and dementia, so there's certainly know-how behind the care here. The community provides both assisted living and memory care, helping seniors who are aged, developmentally disabled, mentally ill, or have Alzheimer's by giving them safety, support, and more freedom than some might expect. The campus sits in a quiet, country-like neighborhood and offers both a private house feel and full licensed care, with a calm, home-like atmosphere. They have both private suites and shared rooms, all furnished and equipped with WiFi, cable TV, and private or shared bathrooms, plus kitchenettes in some units. The community takes care of cooking, cleaning, home maintenance, and laundry, making life easier for those who need an extra hand.

Support's always available, day and night, with nurses and helpers awake 24 hours, which means medication can get managed, injections can get done, glucose checks handled, and behavioral needs can get attention whether someone's up early or late. Memory care at A and R Premiere Care includes a separate, purpose-built secure building with alarmed doors and bracelets to stop wandering, and staff are well-trained to help with Alzheimer's and dementia. Residents who need help with daily living, like dressing, bathing, toileting, or mobility, get extra care-including transfers with one or two helpers, or with a lift for safety. Caregivers are on hand for reminders, companionship, behavioral support, and help with meals-especially since there's a focus on diets like diabetic, kosher, vegetarian, or other restrictions such as low salt, low fat, and renal meals. The dining is communal, with fresh meal options and careful attention to nutrition.

Residents have access to indoor and outdoor common spaces, so they can enjoy a rural garden, patio, front porch, or TV lounges to socialize, relax, or join in on activities. They provide a variety of group and individual activities every day, ranging from exercise classes and music groups to game nights, field trips, and other outings meant to keep everyone both engaged and active. Gym facilities are available for fitness, and there's always a safe place outside for a walk. Housekeeping, linen, and dry-cleaning services are all included to lighten everyone's load. The home doesn't allow pets but offers parking for residents and visitors, accepts credit cards and checks for payment, and gives a choice of living arrangements, from private to shared rooms.

Support for behavioral needs is strong here, so those who wander or may physically act out are closely monitored in a secured setting, with help always nearby. The staff speak English and Hindi, which can be a comfort for those who prefer communication in those languages. With no-nonsense, experienced staff including LPNs, RNs, and caregivers, A and R Premiere Care provides assistance with both basic and complex needs, so seniors and adults with disabilities can stay as independent as possible while knowing someone will always step in when needed. Room pricing begins at around $3,000 for memory care, and respite stays are possible. Outdoor spaces like gardens and patios, plus social, educational, and health programs, are all aimed at helping everyone stay as healthy and connected as they can. The overall feeling is safe, friendly, and practical-somewhere a person can live day-to-day life without worry about getting the help they need or losing their own sense of self.
