    Warm professional compassionate senior care

I'm very pleased with the warm, professional care my loved one received - friendly, attentive staff, excellent rehab and therapy teams, clean comfortable rooms, tasty meals and plenty of activities (salon, crafts, birthday gatherings). Communication and administration were easy to work with, and the grounds and amenities are lovely. Overall a very good choice for compassionate senior care.

    Summary of reviews

The reviewer pool presents a mixed, polarized picture of Camilia Rose Care Center. Positive feedback centers on direct care: many families describe compassionate, friendly aides and nurses, strong interpersonal rapport between staff and residents, and a wide range of social and recreational programming (crafts, birthday events, hair and nail services). Several reviewers noted effective on-site rehabilitation services (physical and occupational therapy) and successful recoveries for some residents. The facility’s grounds, room comfort, and organized activities receive consistent praise from those who had positive experiences.

At the same time, multiple operational concerns recur across reviews. Medication administration and timing are frequently described as inconsistent, and families report gaps in clinical oversight—particularly limited RN availability and missed or delayed medical appointments. Therapy services are described as helpful by some but inconsistent in quality and scheduling by others. Safety practices also emerge as an area of concern: there are mentions of insufficient supervision during toileting and transfers, fall-related incidents, and inconsistent adherence to fall-prevention protocols.

Staffing and management issues appear to underlie many of the negative experiences. Reviewers point to high staff turnover, perceived undertraining, and thin staffing levels that affect continuity of care. Communication and transparency with families are uneven: several accounts describe difficulty contacting residents, delays or opacity in billing and insurance coordination, and slow administrative responses to complaints. Some reviews raise serious concerns about personal-property safeguards and billing irregularities, including allegations of missing items and insurance/billing disputes.

Facility condition and daily services show variability. While some residents and families describe clean, well-decorated common areas and pleasant grounds, others note cleanliness and odor concerns in specific areas and occasional housekeeping lapses (including meals left in rooms). Dining and meal service are positively viewed by some but criticized in isolated instances for delivery and clearing practices. Administrative touchpoints receive mixed marks: front-desk and billing staff are described as helpful by some, while overall management responsiveness and complaint resolution are identified as inconsistent.

Taken together, the pattern suggests that individual experience at this facility may be highly dependent on unit assignment, current staff on duty, and clarity around administrative arrangements such as insurance and transport. Prospective residents and families should consider in-person visits focused on unit-level cleanliness, staffing patterns, medication-management protocols, fall-prevention procedures, and documentation of billing/insurance responsibilities. For families with clinical complexity or mobility/safety needs, clarifying RN coverage, therapy scheduling, and transportation/appointment coordination in writing is advisable. If serious clinical-safety or property concerns arise, families may wish to pursue formal channels for resolution and clarification with the facility and regulatory bodies.

    About Camilia Rose Care Center

Camilia Rose Care Center in Rapids, MN serves older adults who need different levels of support, from independent living all the way through assisted living, memory care, and nursing care, so folks can find the fit that best matches what they need right now and down the road. The building sits at 11800 Xeon Blvd NW and offers several types of rooms, including private rooms and furnished apartments, with common areas where people can gather for activities or just relax together, making the place feel warm and inviting instead of shut away. The staff includes nurses and skilled professionals around the clock, always ready to help with health needs, medication, and daily activities, and they're known for being patient with those who need memory care or have unique medical concerns, so people don't have to feel nervous about getting older or needing a little more help each year.

The memory care program supports people with Alzheimer's or dementia through a secured unit and trained aides who know how to reduce confusion and keep folks safer, and the day care programs welcome adults who have disabilities or need supervision during the day, letting caregivers have some peace of mind when they're away. Home care options and hospice care are available for residents who want to stay in familiar surroundings as their needs grow, and all care plans get customized to each person, aiming to let everyone keep as much independence as possible while staying comfortable. Homemade meals are cooked daily for residents, and there's always a calendar full of activities-music, art, social events, devotional times, and offsite outings-so people can stay involved and keep up friendships, even if it's been hard to get out on their own lately. Transportation is arranged for scheduled trips, and respite stays offer short-term help too, so family caregivers can rest when they need to.

Camilia Rose Care Center partners with Mary T Home Health for extra help and in-home physician visits, and offers special programs for people with developmental disabilities, so everyone can take part in this community, not just those with straightforward health needs. The care center's overall rating is 2.8 out of 21 reviews, which shows some folks have had mixed experiences, and that's worth keeping in mind. Still, the center focuses on making life better for seniors by giving choices, help, and a sense of belonging, with chances for both quiet time and social times, and staff who work to keep dignity at the heart of daily life.
