    Warm, attentive, safe, well-maintained home

I placed my mom here for her final months and was grateful for the respectful, family-like staff who provided attentive, individualized care. The beautifully maintained, well-staffed home offers hot, varied meals (homemade pies and ice cream), grooming services, clear frequent communication with photos/videos, and safe, welcoming visits with strong COVID precautions. Reasonably priced and accountable, I would place my dad here and highly recommend this warm, professional community.

    Summary of reviews

Family Tree Care Homes receives consistently positive feedback for a warm, family-like approach to personal care. Reviewers emphasize individualized attention: staff are described as compassionate, respectful, and attentive, and families report that independence is promoted while gentle assistance is provided when needed. Communication with families—including regular updates and the sharing of photos and videos—is a repeated strength, and families describe participation in care decisions and transparent dialogue with management.

Dining and personal services are notable features. The kitchen is characterized as providing varied, home-cooked entrees and frequent desserts (homemade pies, ice cream), with an ability to accommodate individual tastes and customized recipes. Residents receive routine grooming and salon-style services such as hair setting, perms, manicures, and pedicures, which reviewers cite as part of the facility’s focus on dignity and appearance.

Activities and social engagement are presented as meaningful and resident-centered. Staff-led one-on-one and small-group activities (cribbage and similar pastimes) are mentioned alongside an emotionally supportive environment that values humor, honor, and family presence. Families frequently characterize the atmosphere as joyful and loving, and many reviewers explicitly recommend the home for end-of-life support and final months of care.

The physical environment and operational practices receive favorable comments. Multiple families describe the home as clean, well-maintained, and aesthetically pleasing, with outdoor visiting areas such as a deck and clear COVID-19 safety practices that allowed safe visitation. Reviewers also note that management takes responsibility for particular needs and that pricing is viewed as fair and transparent.

Patterns to note for prospective families: while staff quality is a clear strength, reviewers occasionally describe staff as busy, which suggests periods when responsiveness may be constrained by workload. The available information emphasizes personal care, social engagement, and grooming rather than intensive medical services; families seeking high-acuity clinical support should confirm on-site clinical capabilities and staffing ratios. Overall, the consensus in these summaries is that Family Tree Care Homes delivers compassionate, individualized personal care in a homelike setting with strong family communication and well-regarded dining and grooming services.

    About Family Tree Care Homes

Family Tree Care Homes sits in New Brighton, Minnesota at 2029 Palmer Drive and uses the name Panzer Home Care too, being managed by Lee James Panzer Jr. and Breanna Panzer, so what you have is a place that's built to help seniors who need a bit more support as they get older, whether it's with assisted living, memory care, or even more hands-on care like you see with Alzheimer's or other memory conditions, and while the building is single-story, the rooms come in studio, semi-private, share, or companion setups, depending on what's needed. They focus on keeping things safe and comfortable for folks, with things like special amenities, recreational activities, and health programs to help people feel at home, and they make care plans for each person, really tailoring them to what each resident needs, so you'll see staff helping with daily things like dressing, grooming, showering, even just getting around, which can take a lot off a person's mind. There are memory care programs for those who need them, with staff trained specifically for working with memory issues, and the ratio of staff to residents stays higher than usual so people get more attention and safety, and you see that with the monthly on-site visits from a geriatric doctor through the Bluestone Physicians Services partnership, which helps lessen clinic trips and keeps closer tabs on health right inside the home. Activities aren't all the same for everyone, as the staff put together recreational plans based on what they learn from residents and families, so outings, gardening, scenic drives, and time spent reminiscing show up pretty often on the schedule, and you'll see the care options include care homes, assisted living, and those specialized memory care programs, plus Registered Nurses oversee things 24/7 to answer questions or concerns. The facility isn't BBB accredited, but it maintains high review scores and stands out in its local area for providing reliable and individualized care for seniors, especially those living with Alzheimer's or dementia, and it keeps in touch with state licensing offices in both Minnesota and North Dakota to keep up with requirements.
