    Welcoming professional staff aided recovery

I had a very positive rehab stay - the facility was clean, secure, and welcoming. Staff were kind, professional, and attentive; nurses, aides and therapists helped me regain strength and mobility and made my mom feel safe. Activities, memory games and supportive social services kept days engaging and assisted with discharge planning. Overall I felt well cared for and would choose this place again.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for Complete Care at Voorhees present a highly mixed picture. Many families and former patients praise the clinical team and rehabilitation services: skilled nurses, attentive CNAs, and an effective therapy team (PT/OT/speech) are recurrent strengths. Reviewers describe meaningful functional gains achieved through therapy, a well-equipped rehab gym, and helpful coordination from admissions staff and social workers. Several accounts highlight compassionate, individualized care from long-term staff members and positive interactions with activities staff, which contribute to resident engagement and emotional well-being.

At the same time, a consistent pattern of operational weaknesses emerges. Staffing variability and high turnover — including frequent use of agency aides — is associated with uneven daily care, delayed responses to call bells, and inconsistent assistance with bathing and dressing. Multiple reviewers described sanitation and odor concerns in particular units, alongside uneven housekeeping coverage across shifts. These issues appear localized at times but recur often enough to be a meaningful facility-level concern tied to staffing and supervision.

Dining and food-service quality appears variable. Some families and residents enjoyed meals and noted dietician oversight and accommodation of dietary needs; others reported cold or insufficient meals and occasional shortages. Similarly, facility amenities and layout are generally viewed positively — bright dining rooms, a solarium, outdoor relaxation areas, a single-story footprint, and on-site salon services — but ongoing renovation areas and localized maintenance issues (peeling paint, leaking windows, stained carpeting) were also noted.

Care coordination and management draw mixed evaluations. Admissions teams and certain leaders and social workers are credited for smooth transitions and good communication, yet some reviewers raised concerns about leadership tone, responsiveness to family concerns, and gaps in incident notification. More serious allegations — including theft and financial mishandling and contested management decisions in individual cases — appear in the record and would warrant direct inquiry by prospective families.

Activities and memory-care programming are frequently praised: structured social programs, music, bingo, and memory-based activities were cited as reasons residents remained engaged. However, multiple reviewers expressed concern about inconsistent dementia-unit practices, wandering supervision, and variable adherence to individualized care plans.

Overall, experiences at Complete Care at Voorhees range from highly positive — notably in nursing, therapy, and resident engagement — to problematic, particularly where staffing shortages, housekeeping variability, and management communication gaps intersect. Prospective residents and families should consider visiting multiple times, ask specific questions about staffing ratios and weekend/third-shift coverage, confirm policies for incident notification and financial controls, review current sanitation and infection-control practices, and verify therapy coverage with payors before placement.
