    Kind staff spotless facility peace

I placed my parent here and quickly felt at ease - the staff are knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely caring, treating residents like family. The freshly remodeled facility is beautiful and spotless, with lively programming (movie room with popcorn, library, chapel, outings, patios, on-site hairdresser) and tasty, well-balanced meals. Administration and maintenance are responsive, residents are clearly well cared for, and I have real peace of mind; I'd recommend this warm, attentive memory-care community.

    Summary of reviews

GrandeVille presents as a small, family-oriented senior community with a strong emphasis on interpersonal care and a broad set of onsite amenities. Many families and residents describe staff as warm, compassionate, and willing to go beyond routine duties; maintenance and housekeeping are frequently noted as responsive, and recent renovations in parts of the building have produced clean, bright common areas. The community offers multiple care levels, including memory-care services and 24-hour nursing coverage, and provides a range of conveniences such as an in-house hairdresser, podiatrist, chapel, library and a movie room. Regular programming (bingo, exercise classes, outings, crafts, social events) and accessible outdoor patios/central courtyard contribute to an active, home-like atmosphere for many residents.

Care and staffing are central strengths but also a source of variability. Daytime nursing and many caregiving staff are described as knowledgeable and attentive, and families frequently cite clear communication and individualized attention. At the same time, reviewers describe inconsistent responsiveness at times — examples include limited supervisory presence overnight, periods when aides appeared distracted or less engaged, and reports of variable follow‑through on care tasks. These comments suggest that while core clinical capabilities exist, operational reliability can fluctuate and prospective families should confirm staffing and supervision patterns that matter to them.

Dining and activities are important parts of daily life at GrandeVille. The facility provides three meals daily with snacks and many reviewers praised generous portions and enjoyable menu items; others found the menu uninspired or the food quality uneven. Activities are plentiful on paper and include outings, themed events, and use of activity rooms; many residents value the social opportunities and special events (movies with popcorn, trips, exercise). However, there are also accounts of scheduled activities not always being delivered as planned, indicating variability in program execution and recreation-staff engagement.

Facility condition is mixed in the reviews. Portions of the campus have been freshly remodeled, producing light, airy dining areas and updated flooring and furnishings. Conversely, other areas are described as dated, darker, or in need of refresh, and several reviewers called attention to relatively small private rooms and older bathroom fixtures. The physical footprint — a round building with a central courtyard and multiple sitting areas — offers positive outdoor and communal spaces, but prospective residents should inspect specific rooms and wings for condition and size.

Management and organizational patterns show both strengths and concerns. The community’s family-run feel and hands-on administration are appreciated by many; responsive leadership is credited with effective family communication and individualized accommodations. At the same time, there are comments indicating strained staff–management relations and uneven oversight of aides and recreation staff. Perceptions of value vary: some families emphasize competitive pricing and recommend GrandeVille, while others feel the service–cost balance is inconsistent compared with alternative options.

Overall, GrandeVille is often recommended for its caring staff, accessible amenities, active programming and portions of the facility that have been recently updated. Key areas for prospective residents and families to evaluate during a visit are night supervision and staffing consistency, the specific condition and size of the available room, real-time activity delivery, and current dining options. Verifying how the community addresses supervision, staff training and schedule reliability will help assess whether GrandeVille’s strengths align with an individual resident’s needs.

    About GrandeVille Senior Living Community

GrandeVille Senior Living Community sits on more than five peaceful acres in the Town of Greece, New York, and offers a home-like setting with private rooms, shared suites, and plenty of cozy common areas where folks can gather or have family visits if their own rooms feel a bit cramped, and you'll find it's privately run and still owned by a local family, which means the atmosphere tends to feel pretty neighborly and easy-going. For more than forty years, GrandeVille's provided a range of senior care, from independent living apartments for people who're active and want hassle-free living, all the way through assisted living, enhanced care, and a strong adult day care program, so you'll see people coming in for daily social activities or just community meals along with residents who need extra help over the long term. There's a big focus at GrandeVille on comfort, dignity, and seeing to residents' changing needs, so they have a 24-hour team of thoughtful, cheerful staff who help with everything from medication management and personal care to emergency needs and simple companionship, and all staff go through background checks. They offer help with showers or baths, incontinence care, diabetic management, and all sorts of physical therapy, and there's even a part-time nurse and on-site clinic for things like regular check-ups, podiatry, and lab services when required.

The Mary Regina Memory Care Community is a big part of the campus, with a special household approach for folks living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, and it's all set up with that idea of keeping a safe but homey environment-delayed egress doors, walking paths, and an enclosed courtyard, plus a country kitchen where residents and staff can eat together and keep things social. The staff focus on supporting memory care residents with daily cognitive and enrichment activities, and there's always someone around for medication and nutritional management, personal care, and a bedtime routine. GrandeVille offers traditional assisted living too, with support for daily living tasks in a setting that tries to feel as much like home as possible, and they want people to be as independent as they can for as long as they can, so there are activities and outings seven days a week.

On top of long-term stays, the community allows for trial stays if someone's not sure about moving in permanently, as well as short-term respite care for seven to sixty days if someone needs transitional care after a hospital rehab or just a break for family caregivers. The campus itself has a lot of comforts-lounges and sitting areas, a library, arts and crafts room, chapel with regular non-denominational services, a dining room where everyone eats three home-cooked meals and snacks, plus outdoor gardens and walking paths. They allow pets under their pet-friendly policy and offer complimentary transportation for appointments, outings, and shopping, with on-site Case Managers ready to help with financial or personal matters. Programming keeps folks active and connected, with daily recreational and fitness activities, bingo, arts, field trips, devotional services, and even bigger group events like ice cream socials or community dinners. Housekeeping, maintenance, laundry, and linen services are provided regularly, and there's an emergency call system for peace of mind.

GrandeVille is licensed and regulated by New York State Department of Health, with license number 370F230, and they're known in the area as an award-winning senior community, having received recognition for care and support. The culture leans toward friendliness and respect, and staff are both professional and kind with residents, visitors, and each other, always working to maintain a supportive and joyful place to live. They encourage families to visit, join in outings-like trips to the Bills Training Camp or just community shopping runs-and tours of their renovated campus are always welcomed. The whole idea is to offer an easy, supportive environment where seniors get care that's as comprehensive or light-touch as they need, while feeling comfortable and at home.
