    Immaculate welcoming attentive caring professionals

I was very pleased with our experience - the facility is immaculate and welcoming, and administration and reception were attentive and communicative with our family. Anna the nurse was terrific and went above and beyond; therapy, nursing, and CNAs provided excellent, resident-focused care. I would gladly request them again and highly recommend this caring, professional team.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for PruittHealth - Neuse present a polarized picture: a number of families praise the facilityโ€™s therapy program, compassionate direct-care staff, and administrative support, while other accounts raise substantial operational concerns. Positive comments commonly highlight strong rehabilitation outcomes, attentive CNAs, helpful admissions and case-management assistance, and several individual staff members and departments who provided clear clinical instruction and timely physician coordination. Multiple reviewers also described engaging activities, welcoming reception staff, and instances where management-driven changes led to noticeable improvement in care and the physical environment.

Care quality appears inconsistent across shifts and units. Several reviewers described effective, attentive nursing and therapy care that supported recovery and discharge planning; conversely, other families reported delayed attention to resident needs, medication administration problems, and instances where clinical surveillance (for example, glucose monitoring or infection management) did not meet expectations. These contrasting accounts suggest variability in clinical oversight and handoffs, and they underline the importance of confirming current staffing patterns and clinical protocols during any visit.

Staffing and conduct are recurring themes. Many positive reports single out compassionate, knowledgeable caregivers and CNAs who provide meaningful day-to-day support. At the same time, a significant number of reviewers described chronic understaffing, high turnover, uneven skill levels, and concerns about staff responsiveness and tone. Call-button response times and availability of assistanceโ€”particularly during evening shiftsโ€”were noted as problematic in several accounts, which carries implications for supervision and resident comfort.

Dining, activities, and housekeeping are similarly mixed. Some families described enjoyable meals, timely therapy-based dining support, and active social programming that engaged residents. Other reviewers raised concerns about irregular meal-service timing, inadequate feeding assistance, and uneven housekeeping and room maintenance. There are also specific sanitation and pest-control concerns cited; these indicate the need to verify current environmental and infection-control practices directly with facility management.

Management and communication show improvement in some reports and shortcomings in others. Admissions, case managers, and individual administrators were praised for clear explanations, daily follow-up, and problem resolution in several cases; some reviews also credit recent leadership changes with tangible facility upgrades. Conversely, families also reported difficulty reaching escalation channels, unresolved billing or lost-property issues, and inconsistent application of visitation policies during infectious outbreaks.

Notable patterns: variability is the dominant theme. Positive and negative experiences often exist side-by-side, which suggests that resident outcomes depend heavily on unit, shift, and the specific staff assigned. Prospective residents and families should request current information on staffing ratios, medication-administration safeguards, infection-control measures, housekeeping schedules, and the rehabilitation program. Visiting in person, asking to meet therapy and nursing leaders, and seeking recent inspection or quality metrics will help clarify whether the facilityโ€™s strengths align with an individual residentโ€™s needs.
