    Compassionate staff and beautiful facilities

I moved my mom here and I'm very happy with the decision. The facility is beautiful, modern and sparkling clean, with spacious, well-appointed apartments (full kitchens/garage/washer-dryer in independent living) and great amenities - dining, cinema, salon, gym, courtyard and transportation. Best of all is the staff: compassionate, attentive and professional, they made the transition smooth, keep residents socially engaged with creative activities, and treated our family with real care, so I confidently recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Traditions of Lebanon is described by families and visitors as a modern, well‑appointed senior community with many strengths in staff engagement, programming, and facility amenities. Reviewers consistently highlight compassionate, family‑style interactions: staff often know residents and family members by name, provide attentive medication oversight, and offer individualized support during transitions. The community hosts a range of living options from independent villas to assisted‑living apartments and a structured Varietas memory‑care program; many families praised the memory‑care staff and the sense of safety and belonging these programs can provide.

Activities and social life are prominent assets. The activities team receives frequent positive mention for creative crafts, outings, Bible study, bingo and other regularly scheduled programming that supports social engagement and mood improvement. Residents described becoming more socially active and forming friendships. The physical plant — described as clean, modern, and bright — includes many desirable amenities (courtyard seating, salon, gym, cinema room, dog park, transportation services, garages and porches in some units) and apartment features such as walk‑in closets, kitchenettes or full kitchens in independent units, and ample storage.

Dining and clinical care present a mixed picture. Some reviewers praised restaurant‑quality meals and an attentive dining staff, while others noted fluctuations in food quality and menu variety, partly attributed to culinary staff turnover. Dining‑area sanitation and table‑clearance practices were mentioned as areas needing attention. Clinical staff are generally characterized as caring and competent, with examples of compassionate end‑of‑life support and attentive medication management; however, reviewers also described intermittent care gaps, particularly when staffing is light, that can affect assistance with activities of daily living such as dressing and bed maintenance.

Operational and management themes include a responsive admissions and administrative team that helps with paperwork and transitions, and examples where leadership addressed family concerns directly. At the same time, reviewers noted operational weaknesses that recur: inconsistent housekeeping and laundry processes, periodic phone‑system and communication issues, and occasional room‑ or floor‑level sanitation lapses. Cost is another consistent consideration; the community is seen as upscale and correspondingly costly, with some families questioning long‑term value despite availability of Medicaid beds or partial coverage through long‑term care policies.

In sum, Traditions of Lebanon offers a well‑maintained campus with strong person‑centered staff interactions, robust activities, and a respected memory‑care program. Prospective residents and families should weigh those strengths against operational variability in dining, housekeeping, and staffing levels, and should discuss current culinary leadership, laundry/housekeeping protocols, and staffing ratios during tours to assess fit and value relative to cost.

    About Traditions of Lebanon

Traditions of Lebanon sits in Lebanon, Ohio and has 100 units with options for independent living, assisted living, memory care, and villas, and the community is known for having a tenured, compassionate staff that helps seniors with different needs, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia, providing support for daily activities like bathing, dressing, and medication. The building uses automatic sprinklers throughout, has a state-of-the-art fire alarm system, and puts up exterior lighting for safety and a bit of accent, while large bay windows let in natural light and energy-efficient systems keep the air healthy and the atmosphere comfortable with modern, commercial-grade plumbing and lighting-plus paved walking paths connect the community buildings and outdoor courtyards give residents a place to relax. You'll find a theater, chapel, fitness room, clinic, and a beauty salon for daily life, with communal areas like full-service dining spaces and a bar, and residents get chef-prepared meals focused on good ingredients and balanced nutrition, housekeeping that offers convenience, and care amenities for those who need special help, especially in memory care where programs aim to keep seniors safe, reduce confusion, and prevent wandering. The interiors are set up to feel like home, and there are plenty of social and recreational activities to keep the mind and spirit active, including specialized programs for wellness, and independent living feels more hassle-free with everything taken care of while still focusing on social connection and a secure, homelike feel. Support goes beyond the walls with home care services for seniors who want to live at home but need companionship and non-medical help, and the nursing care and attentive support try to help every resident have a good quality of life, with amenities made for comfort, safety, and active living. The staff tries to keep relationships warm and fulfilling, and the whole place puts a lot of effort into safety features, healthy buildings, and offering a range of services to fit changing needs.
