    Clean safe facility caring staff

Overall I'm pleased with this clean, safe facility - the interiors are being updated and the staff clearly take pride in resident care. The people here are warm, friendly and really helpful; payment flexibility made things easier, and I hope I can stay here long-term. I'd happily recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment across the reviews is clearly positive, centered on staff quality, cleanliness, and a sense of safety. Multiple reviewers express satisfaction and affection for the people who work at Hobart Nursing & Rehab, using phrases such as "well pleased," "love the people," and repeatedly describing staff as "really nice," "helpful," and "friendly." Reviewers emphasize that residents are "well taken care of" and note a visible "pride in resident care," which together point to a strong, resident-focused caregiving culture.

Facility-related comments are favorable: reviewers describe the building as clean and safe, and several mention that interior updating has begun, suggesting the facility is investing in physical improvements. The combination of cleanliness, ongoing updates, and a sense of safety contributes to reviewers' willingness to recommend the facility and their hope that residents can remain there long-term.

Financial issues are the primary concern raised. While reviewers note that the facility offers some payment flexibility, there is an explicit comment about a financial burden. This indicates that, despite flexible payment options, cost remains a notable stressor for at least some families or residents.

There is limited information in these summaries about specific operational areas such as dining quality, activity programming, clinical specialty services, staffing levels, or management responsiveness. No reviewer comments provided detailed observations about meals, therapies, social activities, medication management, or administrative processes, so no conclusions can be drawn on those topics from the available summaries.

In summary, the reviews depict Hobart Nursing & Rehab as a clean, safe facility with caring, friendly, and helpful staff who take pride in resident care. The facility appears to be undergoing interior improvements and is viewed as potentially suitable for long-term residency. The main negative theme is cost: even with payment flexibility, financial burden is a concern. Absent from these comments are specifics about dining, activities, clinical services, or management performance, so additional information would be needed to assess those areas comprehensively.

    About Hobart Nursing & Rehab

Hobart Nursing & Rehab sits right in Hobart, Oklahoma, next to the County Health Department and Elkview General Hospital, which makes it easy for residents to get medical help fast if needed, and the staff here includes licensed nurses, physical therapists, and qualified nursing assistants who work around the clock to take care of both short-term and long-term needs, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory care, and respite care for those giving care at home to someone else and really needing a break. Folks get meals every day-breakfast, lunch, dinner, and elders meals, and the staff helps with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and moving around, offering personal care 24/7, plus the rooms have air conditioning, private bathrooms, electric high/low beds, and come either as private suites or shared spaces, fully furnished for comfort, and there are cable, Wi-Fi, and telephone and internet services available so everyone can stay connected.

The facility has recently been remodeled, so communal areas are spacious, and the outdoor spaces are landscaped so folks can get some fresh air, and because the staff is there all the time, with a 24-hour call system, residents get quick help whenever they call, whether they need help with medication, wound care, or tracheostomy care, and there's a big focus on safety, especially for people with memory care needs since it's a protected environment to help keep everyone safe and secure. There's a chapel for spiritual needs, and programs like physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, intravenous therapy, and wound care help people recover or manage their health every day, and the therapy team works with each person to set up care based on what they need, not just one-size-fits-all.

Residents can join activities like bible study, bingo, ice cream socials, birthday parties, devotionals, and trips out for shopping or errands, and there's a nice list of events and social time to keep from feeling lonely-plus transportation's arranged for medical visits, shopping, and more. The facility is non-smoking, and there are both private and semi-private rooms, and housekeeping plus linen services are all included, so no one has to worry about chores, and meals are prepared daily with dietary needs in mind. The staff also manages medicines and sets up doctor visits, working with outside health care providers to coordinate each resident's care, and social media keeps families up to date for those who want digital connectivity. As part of Southwest LTC, a group known for operating several care facilities, Hobart Nursing & Rehab is managed by Larry Lockwood, the Administrator, who works to keep the place running and comfortable for everyone who calls it home.
