I'm very pleased with this community - long-tenured, compassionate staff and attentive management have improved care; residents enjoy daily activities and physical therapy, and the facility is clean and well kept. The owner and team go out of their way to help, care feels outstanding and affordable, and I'd confidently recommend it to family.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews reflect a facility with clear strengths in day-to-day caregiving and resident engagement alongside several operational concerns that prospective families should evaluate during a tour. Many comments emphasize a caring, long-standing staff who create a home-like atmosphere; families frequently cite compassionate attention, engaged activities programming (including on-site physical therapy), and a generally clean, well-kept environment. Cost and management attention to improving care practices were also noted positively by multiple families.

Despite those strengths, the reviews indicate recurring operational weaknesses. Laundry and wardrobe management is a practical pain pointโ€”missing hangers, clothing that does not smell fresh, and family members stepping in to do laundry were described. There are also concerns about how clinical incidents and family communication are handled: at least one account described an injury with delayed notification to family, and reviewers recommended clearer incident-response and communication protocols.

Staff and management impressions are mixed. Several reviewers praised long-tenured employees and cited recent management-driven changes that improved care methods. At the same time, others described inconsistencies in staff attentiveness and professional boundaries, with observations such as staff distraction during shifts and problematic conduct in staff areas. These accounts suggest variability in supervision and day-to-day practice that can affect resident experience.

Facility condition and regulatory issues appear as additional themes. The building is described as older but generally clean and maintained; however, reviewers raised occasional odor concerns in some areas and characterized the physical plant as dated. Importantly, there is mention of regulatory monitoring and identified deficiencies, which prospective families should treat as a substantive data point when evaluating safety and compliance history.

Dining received limited direct commentary beyond affordability; reviewers did not provide consistent detail about meal quality, so families should ask about menu variety, special-diet accommodations, and meal-service continuity during a visit. Activities and therapy programs were a clear positive, with families noting daily engagement and available physical therapy services.

Recommendations for prospective families: tour the facility during multiple times of day, inquire specifically about laundry and wardrobe procedures, ask for the facility's incident-communication policy and recent regulatory history, and observe staff interactions and supervision patterns. The facility shows strong resident-centered care and experienced staff in many accounts, but operational gapsโ€”particularly around personal-laundry management, staff consistency, and documented regulatory concernsโ€”merit direct questions before placement.
