    Caring staff, secure family-like home

I placed my mom in their memory-care neighborhood and am very pleased. The staff - especially Mary, Hannah and Anthony - are caring, patient and attentive; the administrator is accessible and hands-on. The facility is clean, secure and family-like with wonderful food, lots of activities (bingo, sittercise, library support), private dining, courtyard upgrades and in-room laundry; Mom is well loved and I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment in the reviews is strongly positive, with repeated praise for the quality of care, the responsiveness of staff, and the range of activities offered. Multiple reviewers describe staff as warm, caring, attentive, accommodating and accessible; staff interaction is one of the most consistently highlighted strengths. Several comments specifically note that staff personalize care to residentsโ€™ preferences and that family members feel their loved ones are well treated and loved. The overall impression is that the community provides compassionate, individualized care that gives families confidence.

Staff and management: Reviewers repeatedly emphasize excellent staff performance โ€” from initial tours to ongoing daily interactions. Descriptions include words like "personalized to mom's preferences," "attentive," "accommodating," and "accessible," indicating staff are responsive and approachable. The positive tour experience mentioned by more than one reviewer suggests management presents the community well and is effective at orienting prospective residents and families. The recurring family endorsements and statements that residents are "well treated" or "well loved" point to consistently good staffโ€“resident relationships.

Activities, programs and services: The community appears to offer a robust activity schedule that appeals to residents. Specific programs called out are bingo, sittercise, light exercise classes, and an "extensive" set of activities and programs overall. There is also evidence of good ancillary services: the on-site library coordination for large print and audiobooks is noted, and reviewers appreciate the social and engagement opportunities these services provide. Dining flexibility is also a plus โ€” reviewers specifically mention that staff provide customized alternate meals, which suggests attention to dietary needs and preferences.

Facilities and apartments: Several reviews praise the apartment layout โ€” a great room setup with a separate living area and a functional kitchen are mentioned as strengths. Practical amenities are also highlighted: in-room washer/dryer and a laundry center are appreciated for convenience, and reviewers commented that clothes come back clean. Housekeeping and upkeep are implied to be adequate. One recurring caveat is that apartments are described as "small," which some reviewers flagged negatively; however, other comments describe the space as "adequate," and multiple reviewers said the community was a "perfect overall fit," indicating that while size may be limited, it suits many residentsโ€™ needs.

Neighborhood and safety: The community is described as being in a nice, safe area, which contributed to family comfort with placing their loved ones there. The combination of a safe location, a welcoming staff, and accessible services supports a perception of overall security and suitability for seniors.

Notable patterns and concerns: The dominant themes are excellent, personalized caregiving, strong programming and activities, and practical apartment amenities. The primary concern that appears across reviews is the relatively small apartment size โ€” this may be a limiting factor for those who need more living space or prefer larger residences. Despite that, multiple reviewers indicate they would recommend the community, and several state family members (both mothers and fathers) are happy and well cared for. In summary, Arbor Senior Apartments is consistently praised for its staff, programs, and practical conveniences; prospective residents should weigh the high quality of care and strong activity offerings against the smaller apartment footprint to determine fit.
