    Caring, clean, safe memory care

I moved my mom here and have been very pleased. The staff are genuinely caring, respectful and attentive - leadership (Assistant Exec. Dir. Simeon Purkey and caregiver Stephanie Crespo) foster a family-like, safe, very clean community. Memory care, activities and outings are engaging, meals are good, communication and transitions were smooth, and the team provided compassionate end-of-life support. I would recommend this facility.

    Summary of reviews

Overview: Reviews of this memory-care community display a clear pattern of strong, personalized caregiving alongside operational inconsistencies. Many families emphasize compassionate, attentive staff who provide emotional support, hospice coordination, and a family-like environment; those strengths form a central, recurring theme. At the same time, a subset of reviews raises significant operational concerns that prospective families should weigh alongside the facility's positives.

Care and staff: The dominant positive impression is of staff who are respectful, compassionate, and engaged with residents. Reviewers frequently describe attentive bedside care, assistance with feeding, and staff presence during end-of-life moments, including coordinated work with hospice providers. Several reviews singled out specific leaders and caregivers for exemplary conduct and leadership. Counterbalancing that, there are repeated mentions of staffing shortages, low wages, and occasional delays in care tasks. A number of accounts describe gaps in clinical oversight—particularly around wound care and infection-risk management—and some families expressed concern about the facility's responsiveness after serious clinical incidents.

Dining and activities: Dining and menu variety are generally praised; multiple reviewers note appealing meals and a positive dining experience. The activities program is also a consistent strength: reviewers report an active calendar with in-house enrichment, art and cognitive programs, religious services, outings, and a proactive activities director. That programming contributes to reported resident satisfaction and social engagement, though several families noted that social-group dynamics can be uneven and some residents may not feel fully included in group social settings.

Facilities and operations: The physical plant is typically described as clean and well-maintained, with pleasant grounds and a generally attractive environment. Some families found rooms small and noted higher-than-expected pricing. Operationally, reviewers identified practical issues such as inconsistent supply coordination (for incontinence products) and lapses in follow-up after waitlist or move-in delays. Admissions experiences are mixed: some families praised fast, accommodating transitions, while others experienced last-minute denials or poor follow-through during the admissions process.

Management and notable patterns: Leadership receives both strong praise and criticism. Many reviewers highlight accessible, communicative managers who coordinate care and events effectively; others describe rude or unprofessional interactions with management and concerns about misrepresentation from marketing. Pricing transparency and fee increases were singled out as an area of friction. There are also broader concerns voiced about how corporate-level ownership decisions may influence staffing and resources. Importantly, while compassionate caregiving is frequently affirmed, the cluster of concerns around staffing levels, clinical oversight, and inconsistent family communication represents an operational pattern that prospective families should investigate further.

Recommendation for families: Prospective residents and families should weigh the facility's clear strengths in compassionate caregiving, activities, and a clean environment against documented operational weaknesses. When evaluating the community, ask for current staffing ratios, clinical oversight protocols (especially wound and infection-control processes), written fee schedules and recent admission policies, and examples of how the facility handles clinical incidents and family follow-up. A tour that includes a meeting with clinical leadership and a review of recent staffing and incident-response practices will help clarify whether the facility’s strong interpersonal culture is matched by consistent operational safeguards.
