    About ASA Care

ASA Care is a residential care home owned and run by the Asa family since 1994, and the caregivers really seem to take pride in what they do, keeping at least two of them on duty at all times and backing the team with nurses, caregivers, and medicine technicians who are always around, day or night. ASA Care has 60 private, roomy units with bathrooms, including 11 rooms with sliding doors that open up to a patio so residents get fresh air when they want it. The community has special features like a secure, lockable design and a separate area for memory care to help residents who may wander, and it's also set up for both safety and comfort with a big living room, indoor spaces for gathering, a library/TV room, and a paved walkway for strolling outside. ASA Care stands out because it offers a Chinese elderly care program with a wing just for Chinese or Cantonese-speaking residents and language services in Mandarin, with cultural activities and meals that fit different backgrounds. Staff can also help with a wide range of personal and medical needs-diabetic care including insulin and sliding scale therapy, incontinence care, and non-ambulatory care using mechanical lifts, as well as memory care, light to heavy care levels, and emotional support. The facility has onsite nurses and even a licensed in-house dialysis clinic, the only one in the Northwest, plus chefs prepare meals with attention to special diets like renal needs for residents on dialysis. There's a pet-friendly policy, while meal services come included and devotional activities are offered offsite, so seniors can keep up with spiritual life. Residents may bring their own belongings to make their room feel homelike and enjoy different activities that change every month-bingo, Wii bowling, music, animal therapy, movie nights, flower planting, and educational or cultural events that encourage friendships and movement. Transportation can be arranged for an extra fee, while bus lines are easy to reach, and anyone with a car can park on-site. ASA Care's environment tends to feel like a true community, since staff and residents are usually pretty close, and everyone gets a personalized care plan. There's always someone there to help with daily living tasks, supervision, medication management, dialysis support, and anything else that comes up for seniors who want a place that manages both independence and full-time support, all in a modern facility that aims to make things safe, familiar, and comfortable.

    People often ask...

    ASA Care offers assisted living.

The full address for this community is 12032 SE Holgate Blvd, Portland, OR 97266.

No, ASA Care does not offer respite care. Respite care in assisted living communities provides temporary, short-term relief for primary caregivers by offering professional care for their loved ones. It allows individuals to stay in an assisted living community for a limited time, giving caregivers a break while ensuring residents receive necessary support and assistance with daily activities.
