    Warm attentive staff; clean community

I moved my mom here and I'm very pleased - the staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely caring (Michael and Maryann were especially helpful). The community is clean and home-like with roomy apartments, a beautiful dining room and tasty meals, strong wellness/therapy services, and lively activities and transportation. Communication is solid, my family has real peace of mind, and I'd recommend this place.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: The Bridge at Cherry Hill presents as a predominantly positive assisted living community with consistent emphasis on warm, family-like staff interactions, a clean and well-maintained physical environment, and a broad program of services. Families frequently describe quick responses from caregivers, respectful treatment of residents as individuals, and a strong partnership between staff and families. The community environment and safety measures contribute to residents feeling comfortable and welcomed.

Care and staff: Reviewers highlight empathetic, attentive caregiving and a comprehensive clinical presence that includes nursing, wellness staff, and on-site physical therapy. Staff are commonly credited with individualized attention, rapid follow-up on concerns, and active involvement in residents’ transitions and acclimation. Several mentions of specific staff members as going “above and beyond” underscore an overall culture of engaged employees. At the facility level, there are occasional operational weaknesses: some reviewers indicate intermittent staffing shortages and variability in individual staff performance, and a few suggest challenges with placement appropriateness for certain residents. Prospective families should ask about current staffing levels, shift coverage, and placement screening during tours.

Dining and activities: Dining quality and variety are recurring strengths — reviewers praise the chef, the dining room atmosphere, and plentiful menu options with multiple sittings. The activity program is robust, with daily exercise, bingo, music nights, movies, outings (including shopping and lunches), family events, and educational or religious supports. Transportation services for appointments and community trips are noted as a practical benefit that supports resident independence and family peace of mind.

Facilities and management: The physical plant is described as clean, renovated, and comfortable, with larger suite options, good common spaces (salon, chapel, game room, library, outdoor areas), and a secure feel. Administrative interactions (sales, office, and admissions) are generally reported as positive and helpful, with flexible intake practices and clear communication during move-in. The main operational caveats to consider are the occasional lapses in care consistency and the need to confirm that resident needs match the assisted living level of care the community provides. Recommended next steps for prospective families are an in-person tour, a discussion of care-plan customization, review of staffing and coverage policies, and clarification of how the community evaluates admission suitability and manages transitions when care needs change.

Each apartment has a private bath, living area, and a kitchenette with a microwave and refrigerator, and folks can bring their own furniture and decorations to make the space feel like home, whether they're in a studio, a deluxe one-bedroom, or a two-bedroom apartment. There's a dining room where nutritious meals are served, including vegetarian options, and residents join in on social dining, clubs, and all sorts of activities that help keep the mind and body sharp-from educational programs to handyman activities to offsite trips and local attractions, thanks to transportation services provided by the staff.

The memory care program helps adults living with Alzheimer's or dementia by offering structured routines and a secure environment to ease confusion and prevent wandering, and there's a skilled nursing facility right on the grounds for those needing more advanced medical care, plus continuing care retirement community resources mean people can get help when they need it and still stay in the same community. The staff are described as joyful and kind, and many residents notice the welcoming atmosphere and old-world Rhode Island architecture, with wifi, pet-friendly policies, and common areas both indoors and outside to use. There are onsite beautician services, accessible features for mobility needs, both on- and offsite devotional services, and care transition support for when health changes suddenly, like after surgery or illness. Management includes a dedicated director, and the community partners with Cherry Hill Manor Nursing and Rehab Center. The place earned the Accushield® 5-Star Safety Rating, which gives a bit more peace of mind. Community features help create a homelike setting, with chances for socializing, learning, and staying active, alongside practical help with hygiene, meals, and medication. The Bridge at Cherry Hill aims to support seniors to live as independently as possible, with the right level of help, a safe environment, and opportunities to enjoy their days.
