    Kind attentive staff comfortable rooms

I placed my mother here and I'm very pleased - the staff are kind, attentive and knowledgeable, caregivers are plentiful and available 24/7, and the long-tenured director (19 years) keeps communication clear and respectful. It feels like a small, well-maintained home with big, clean rooms, personal touches, outstanding meals, reasonable rent, and it's close to home. I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews portray Bayberry Retirement Inn as a small, home-like facility with an emphasis on personal attention and clear communication with families. Recurring positive themes include approachable administration, a long-tenured director, and staff who are described as kind, respectful, and knowledgeable. Families frequently cite round-the-clock caregiving availability and responsiveness from staff, as well as management accessibility beyond standard office hours.

Care quality is generally characterized as attentive and dignified. Reviewers highlight respectful staff–resident interactions and personal touches that contribute to resident dignity. The presence of multiple caregivers and a stable director suggest operational continuity; however, there is at least one explicit negative comment indicating that experiences can vary, so prospective families should evaluate consistency during a visit and ask about staffing ratios and care plans.

Dining is a noted strength: reviewers mention outstanding meals and positive meal experiences. Information about organized activities and programming is limited in the review set; the absence of detail does not indicate a problem, but prospective residents should request an activity calendar and examples of engagement opportunities to confirm fit with their expectations.

Facilities are described as clean, neat, odor-free, and well maintained, with generous room sizes and a small, comfortable atmosphere. Management is portrayed as communicative and helpful; reviewers emphasize clear family communication and administrative accessibility. Pricing is described as affordable, and multiple families framed their experiences as positive and recommendatory.

Notable patterns: overall family endorsements and praise for staff conduct and meal quality dominate the feedback. Areas for further due diligence are verifying the consistency of positive experiences across different residents and clarifying the range of clinical or specialized services available given the facility's smaller scale. A tour, meetings with the director and care staff, and conversations with current residents or family members are recommended steps for prospective residents to confirm that Bayberry’s operating style aligns with their needs.

    About Bayberry Retirement Inn

Bayberry Retirement Inn, now operating as Silver Treasures Senior Living, sits at 309 Northview Drive in Greer, SC, right in a peaceful wooded setting with gracious grounds, and being just between Greenville and Spartanburg gives folks a bit of country feel but with the conveniences of the city nearby. The community's single-story design helps people get around easily, and they let residents have pets, which can make things feel more like home. Private and companion suites are available, along with cozy, furnished rooms, so residents can pick what suits them best, and help is always close by since there's a 24-hour call system with staff around. Assisted living is a main focus here, with friendly and kind staff supporting residents with daily living tasks like medication management, bathing, dressing, and transfers, while memory care services are tailored for people with Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Folks also have the choice for independent living, where seniors can enjoy a social life without all the chores, and home care aides support those who want to stay at home.

Housekeeping, laundry, move-in coordination, and dry cleaning services take care of most chores, and meal preparation includes chef-planned menus with allergy-sensitive and diabetic choices, served with the option for all-day dining in a restaurant-style room. There's an arts room, a barber and salon, walking paths, gardens, emergency alert systems, and indoor communal spaces, while phones in the rooms make it easy to stay in touch. Bayberry Retirement Inn provides transportation for appointments or outings, and offers plenty of activities, from community-sponsored events and offsite trips to resident-planned things like movie nights, along with devotional times for spiritual support.

The grounds are forested and quiet, sitting on a cul-de-sac, which helps make things safe and welcoming, and the environment emphasizes Southern hospitality in daily life. Everything's designed with seniors in mind, from safety features to support for non-ambulatory and diabetic care. Residents come from the Carolinas, Virginia, and other regions, and the community stays close to medical centers, cultural events, parks, and historical sites for those who want to stay active or just enjoy the seasons. For years, it's built a reputation for attentive care and a homelike feeling that many seniors and families appreciate, and while it's now Silver Treasures Senior Living, folks still remember it as Bayberry Retirement Inn, a place with comfortable spaces, supportive services, and the kind of Southern welcome many people enjoy in their senior years.
