Inman Healthcare sits at 51 N Main Street in Inman, SC, and offers 40 certified beds in a place where seniors can get nursing home care, assisted living, independent living, home care, memory care, and senior apartments, and you'll find a full range of care, whether someone needs short-term rehab after surgery, ongoing dementia care, or long-term help. The center has skilled nursing staff on duty 24/7, and they help residents with physical, speech, and occupational therapy, medication management, daily care, and rehabilitation, and you'll see everything from nutritious meals by chefs and dietitians to help for folks who've had a stroke or an orthopedic injury, and there's always a focus on keeping the environment safe and comfortable. Inman Healthcare's team makes sure there's always someone around to provide non-medical care, companionship, and personal help for daily living, and they run regular activities and have a library, internet access, cable TV, private dining, and daily laundry, with an activities director making sure there's always something to do, and there's an emergency call system for those who need extra peace of mind. Some residents live in shared neighborhood homes with live-in caregivers, and the facility pays special attention to dementia and Alzheimer's residents, working to create calm spaces and prevent wandering, plus there's an emphasis on social services and amenities for families too since it's a family-oriented center. Inman Healthcare accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and it connects families to advisors through a service called "A Place For Mom" for extra help in finding the right care. The management side belongs mostly to Yakar Holdings, LLC, with other ownership layers like Mdb Holdings 1 LLC, Yakar Operating LLC, Michael Bokor, and Michael Greenwald, but there's not much public information about who manages staff day-to-day except for the administrator, Meredith Ivey. Inspection reports have found 9 total deficiencies including issues with infection control and making sure food is palatable and safe, and nurse turnover sits at 33.3%, which is below the state average, but nurse hours per resident are a bit low compared to the average at 3.12 a day. Residents usually find a modern and secure facility with amenities like cable TV, Wi-Fi, and private dining in a pleasant setting, and visiting hours run from 8 in the morning to 8 at night, so there's time for families to come by. The center holds a few awards for friendliness and activities, and you'll see emphasis on supporting both short- and long-term residents, plus ongoing rehabilitation. Caring staff, but safety concerns
I found the staff overwhelmingly loving, dedicated and family-like, with hot, flavorful meals that were the best part of the day and an experienced administration that seems to care. The small, homelike setting and active activities made life better for residents, though the building is older. I was made aware of serious, alleged issues - staffing shortages, missed medications and reports of neglect/abuse that were taken to the ombudsman/DHEC - which raised safety concerns. Because of those reported problems, I have mixed feelings and hesitate to fully recommend it despite excellent day-to-day care from many staff.
