    Family-like compassionate communicative attentive care

I placed my loved one here and I'm very pleased - the staff truly treat residents like family with genuine, compassionate care and strong teamwork. Communication is prompt and transparent (weekly nurse updates and frequent provider contacts), meals are excellent, activities are lively, and the small, home-like atmosphere feels safe and welcoming. Administration and long-tenured staff are dedicated, attentive, and go above and beyond to keep residents comfortable and happy.

    Summary of reviews

Across the feedback there is a clear pattern of strengths around frontline caregiving and community culture. Many families and residents describe staff as compassionate and resident-focused, with CNAs and nurses noted for attentive day-to-day care. Reviewers frequently cite a family-like atmosphere, a small, homey scale that helps residents know one another, and an activities program that keeps people engaged. Short-term rehabilitation services and therapy are also highlighted as effective in supporting recovery.

Dining and housekeeping are commonly praised. The dietary team is described as responsive and caring; meals are repeatedly characterized as hot, flavorful, and a highlight of the day. Interior cleanliness and housekeeping receive positive mentions, and several accounts point to improved dietary management and visible facility upgrades that have enhanced residentsโ€™ quality of life.

At the same time, several operational and facility-level concerns recur. The building is characterized as older and in need of further updates, with specific mentions of dark corridors, shared-room layouts, and other infrastructure limitations that affect comfort and perceived safety. Staffing levels and ratios are described as inconsistent, which reviewers link to delays in routine care and variable responsiveness. There are also specific concerns about medication administration and documentation practices that merit attention.

More serious issues appear in a small subset of feedback. A few reviewers raised concerns about staff conduct and professionalism; some of those concerns were escalated to external oversight such as an ombudsman or state agency. Because those accounts represent potentially significant individual incidents, they warrant careful investigation by management and regulatory bodies. Additional operational gaps mentioned include controls over personal belongings, occasional sanitation or odor concerns in common areas, and questions about marketing transparency (for example, use of stock photography).

Management and leadership receive largely positive comments: long-tenured administrators, engaged managers, and a responsive business office (including Medicaid/financial guidance) are seen as stabilizing factors. Families frequently note open communication, weekly nursing updates, and prompt responses from office staff. Taken together, the facility demonstrates strong person-centered care and an engaged team, but there are clear facility-maintenance and operational control issues โ€” particularly around staffing consistency, medication processes, and certain infrastructure elements โ€” that prospective residents and families should review and, where appropriate, discuss directly with leadership before placement.

    About Inman Healthcare

Inman Healthcare sits at 51 N Main Street in Inman, SC, and offers 40 certified beds in a place where seniors can get nursing home care, assisted living, independent living, home care, memory care, and senior apartments, and you'll find a full range of care, whether someone needs short-term rehab after surgery, ongoing dementia care, or long-term help. The center has skilled nursing staff on duty 24/7, and they help residents with physical, speech, and occupational therapy, medication management, daily care, and rehabilitation, and you'll see everything from nutritious meals by chefs and dietitians to help for folks who've had a stroke or an orthopedic injury, and there's always a focus on keeping the environment safe and comfortable. Inman Healthcare's team makes sure there's always someone around to provide non-medical care, companionship, and personal help for daily living, and they run regular activities and have a library, internet access, cable TV, private dining, and daily laundry, with an activities director making sure there's always something to do, and there's an emergency call system for those who need extra peace of mind. Some residents live in shared neighborhood homes with live-in caregivers, and the facility pays special attention to dementia and Alzheimer's residents, working to create calm spaces and prevent wandering, plus there's an emphasis on social services and amenities for families too since it's a family-oriented center. Inman Healthcare accepts Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and it connects families to advisors through a service called "A Place For Mom" for extra help in finding the right care. The management side belongs mostly to Yakar Holdings, LLC, with other ownership layers like Mdb Holdings 1 LLC, Yakar Operating LLC, Michael Bokor, and Michael Greenwald, but there's not much public information about who manages staff day-to-day except for the administrator, Meredith Ivey. Inspection reports have found 9 total deficiencies including issues with infection control and making sure food is palatable and safe, and nurse turnover sits at 33.3%, which is below the state average, but nurse hours per resident are a bit low compared to the average at 3.12 a day. Residents usually find a modern and secure facility with amenities like cable TV, Wi-Fi, and private dining in a pleasant setting, and visiting hours run from 8 in the morning to 8 at night, so there's time for families to come by. The center holds a few awards for friendliness and activities, and you'll see emphasis on supporting both short- and long-term residents, plus ongoing rehabilitation.
