    Outstanding care, amenities, and staff

I moved my mom here and am very satisfied. The staff are friendly, professional, and genuinely caring; the facility and grounds are beautiful, spotless, and well maintained; apartments are roomy with large kitchens and private showers, dining is excellent with a talented chef, and activities and amenities are plentiful - management made the move-in smooth, so I would recommend this community.

    Summary of reviews

The Westmore Senior Living elicits a strongly mixed but patterned response. Across reviews, frontline caregiving and the physical environment are frequent strengths: staff are often described as compassionate, attentive, and personally engaged; many reviewers cite long‑tenured employees and named leaders as sources of stability. The building and grounds are consistently praised for cleanliness, bright interiors, and attractive landscaping. Apartment layouts, including one‑bedroom units with full kitchens and in‑room showers, are viewed positively, and on‑site amenities (salon, chapel, pool, movie room, exercise programs) support an active resident life.

Clinical and direct-care experiences show variability. Numerous families compliment on‑duty nurses and caring aides, and the presence of clinical support on site is a positive for those needing higher-acuity attention. At the same time, reviewers raise substantive operational concerns: inconsistent medication administration and delays, variable responsiveness to call systems, and limited or inconsistent bathing/hygiene assistance. These issues tend to cluster around staffing deployment and training—frontline employees are often praised, but reviewers also describe uneven monitoring and periods when direct-care coverage or attentiveness falls short of expectations.

Dining and programming are a mixed picture. Many reviewers praise chef-driven menus, generous portions, and a lively dining atmosphere; others report declines in food quality or service timeliness after staffing changes. Activity programming is a clear strength for many residents—there are frequent outings, classes, and social events that contribute to a strong sense of community—though a few comments indicate some activities may not meet the needs or abilities of all residents.

Administrative and facility-management patterns merit careful consideration. Several reviews describe communication gaps between families and administration, unclear or fluctuating monthly charges (including non‑prorated fees), and what reviewers characterize as management instability or turnover. Building maintenance is generally responsive for typical repairs, but there are occasions of delayed or unreliable maintenance (notably elevator outages and limited safety monitoring in stairwells), which can materially affect residents with mobility limitations. Transportation is available but its scheduling and reliability are described as limited in practice.

Overall, the Westmore appears to offer a well‑appointed, activity‑rich environment with many engaged caregivers and strong amenities. The dominant caveat is operational consistency: medication administration, hygiene assistance, housekeeping standards, dining service continuity, billing transparency, and administrative communication show variability and, in some cases, have led families to seek alternatives. Prospective residents and families should weigh the facility’s strengths in environment, community, and frontline staff against these operational considerations and clarify specifics during a tour—particularly on medication protocols, call‑response expectations, bathing assistance, housekeeping schedules, billing practices, transportation availability, and contingency plans for maintenance or leadership transitions.

    About The Westmore Senior Living

The Westmore Senior Living sits over in Westworth Village, Texas, on quiet and pretty grounds with lots of green trees and nice views of Kings Branch, tucked away in an upscale and peaceful neighborhood, which makes things feel relaxed and safe for folks who are 55 or older. This community offers independent living, assisted living, memory care, and even nursing home and continuing care retirement community support, all in one place, so residents can move between care levels if their needs change, without leaving their familiar surroundings. The buildings and apartments, including studios and one- or two-bedroom units, look bright, open, and easy to move around, with big windows, high ceilings, and private home-like settings-some apartments even have kitchenettes, balconies with landscape views, or extra living and dining spaces. Safety features like pull cords, pendants, and bathrooms with special equipment matter to the staff, as does privacy, so residents can enjoy their own space but get help when they need it, since nurses and care staff remain on-site all day and all night.

The Westmore includes separate areas for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents, both on the first floor for easy access, while Memory Care also offers a secure courtyard for gardening and walking, plus pet therapy programs and personalized activity stations for folks with dementia. Social life stays active, with things like a busy calendar of activities-lots of movies, live music, board and card games, day trips, happy hour, bridge club, art and painting sessions, and regular exercise classes. People who love pets can bring theirs if they're in Independent Living or Assisted Living. There are several courtyards, a gazebo, outdoor seating, and lots of walking paths, plus indoor places like a fire pit, a recreation lounge, and a swimming pool, all set up for people to gather and visit. Common areas look homey, with chandeliers and warm shared spaces, and the restaurant-style dining rooms serve chef-made meals for everyone, with a special Dining with G.R.A.C.E program for memory care-daily meals and snacks come with the services, and each apartment gets housekeeping, laundry, transportation to appointments, and maintenance as part of the plan.

The staff organizes each resident's care thoughtfully, with personal care plans based on individual needs. Seventeen floor plans mean there's some choice, and each option pays attention to comfort, accessibility, and safety. Programs for wellness, arts and crafts, and a movie theater provide different things to do, and they have both indoor and outdoor spaces designed to feel inviting and secure. All of this means people can stay active and social, have the help they need, and still feel at home in their own space. The Westmore Senior Living posts images and information about daily life, apartment layouts, and activities on its website and on social media, including Facebook and Instagram, making it possible for folks to see what the community's really like before they ever visit.
