    Compassionate professional staff, spotless facility

I moved my mom into Carrington Court and have been very pleased - the staff are attentive, professional and genuinely caring, the facility is spotless and hotel-like, meals are excellent, activities are engaging, and nursing (including hospice coordination) provides round-the-clock peace of mind. I felt she was safe, included, and well-loved, and I would recommend Carrington Court to families needing compassionate, high-quality assisted and memory care.

    Summary of reviews

Carrington Court presents as a small, well-kept assisted living and memory-care community with many features families cite as strengths: clean, attractively decorated common spaces; private apartments with kitchenettes; an on-site salon; and accessible outdoor courtyard and gathering areas. The facility projects a home-like, family-oriented atmosphere supported by daily housekeeping, laundry service, and visible direct-care staff. Memory-care programming and music-related activities (including piano and music therapy) are repeatedly highlighted, and the activities calendar includes regular outings, crafts, church services, exercise classes, and holiday events. Several reviews single out the activities director and dining staff for consistently positive engagement and creative programming.

Clinical and hands-on care receive mixed but generally positive descriptions: many families praise compassionate, attentive CNAs, hands-on direct-care staff, and coordination with hospice and home-health providers. On-site medical access (podiatry, MDs) and administrative responsiveness are noted as advantages for routine needs. At the same time, multiple reviews raise concerns about consistency in nursing coverage and medication administration practices, including instances of medication errors, delivery delays, and gaps in clinical oversight. Those pattern-level issues suggest prospective families should confirm current nursing staffing levels, medication-administration protocols, and pharmacy relationships during a tour.

Dining and social life are strong selling points for most visitors: family-style dining, guest-meal options, occasional special dinners, and a generally social dining room are frequently described. However, meal quality is described as variable — often praised but occasionally characterized as inconsistent — so prospective residents may wish to sample meals or ask about menu rotation and special-diet accommodations.

Management and operational concerns recur in the feedback. Reviewers describe periods of high administrator turnover and limited owner accessibility, as well as communication gaps between admissions/marketing and families. Infection-control weaknesses (including PPE supply issues and outbreaks of respiratory or gastrointestinal illness in some periods) and supply-chain delays for medications are mentioned; these flags point to the importance of asking about current infection-control policies, staff vaccination protocols, and contingency plans. Privacy and record-handling concerns, and at least one serious allegation of abrupt discharge tied to payment/transition issues, indicate families should review the written admissions contract, eviction/financial policies, and HIPAA/privacy safeguards before committing.

Overall, Carrington Court appears to offer a warm, activity-rich environment with many caregivers who build strong relationships with residents. Its strengths are most apparent for families prioritizing social engagement, cleanliness, and a compassionate direct-care team. Areas to probe further during a visit include current nursing coverage and medication-safety procedures, administrative stability and communication practices, infection-control readiness, and the facility’s written financial and end-of-life care policies. Asking for references from current families, recent staffing ratios, medication-administration audit results, and copies of key policies will help translate the generally positive impressions into an informed placement decision.

About Carrington Court Assisted Living and Memory Care

Carrington Court Assisted Living and Memory Care sits in South Jordan, Utah, and has been family owned and operated by the Braunberger family for thirteen years, and they've been providing support for seniors who need help with daily activities and memory care, with the aim to make life comfortable and safe. The place offers assisted living, independent living, and has specialized services for those with Alzheimer's or dementia, and the staff works with each resident to make sure everyone's needs and routines get the right amount of attention, which means you can expect help with medication, personal grooming, transportation, incontinence care, diabetic care, and even non-ambulatory care when it's needed. The community feels home-like, with courtyards, walking paths, a library, family-friendly rooms, and both indoor and outdoor common spaces where residents and families can gather, and they've got features like a guest dining room, private dining space for families, a theater, game room, and meeting room, so there's usually something to do or a spot to visit with loved ones. Residents can enjoy structured daily schedules, social and educational activities, entertainment programs, arts and crafts, and spiritual support for different faiths-there's Catholic, LDS/Mormon, Protestant, and Jewish services, and visiting chaplains too, if that's what someone's looking for.

Meals get made with care, and if you need a special diet, a dietitian helps plan options such as gluten-free, vegan, organic, low or no sugar, and other diets, with room service when needed, and there are homemade breads and pastries each day, which residents seem to like, and the caregiving staff is fully trained, friendly, and known for being compassionate and attentive according to families who've left reviews. The property is set up to be comfortable, with easy access to buses, free transportation for appointments and errands, and free parking for visitors, so family and friends can come during normal business hours whenever they like, and pets are welcome too. If you need downtime or a break, Carrington Court offers respite care and day care programs, so caregivers can get help when they need it, and there are tailored memory care and reminiscence therapy programs as well, so folks facing memory challenges have extra support and safety. With features like a beauty salon onsite, laundry services, fitness center, billiards lounge, and wi-fi, it's set up so residents can relax and stay social. There's a virtual tour option for anyone who wants to see the place from home, and the whole environment aims for comfort, stability, and dignity, especially when needs get more complex, and the director Sharon S. and her team manage the facility with a focus on respect and responsiveness.

The BBB gives Carrington Court an A+ rating, and it holds a "Best of Senior Living" award, with a community review score of 8.0 and positive words from families about the staff's patience and care, and people have noticed the comfortable rooms and pleasant common spaces for making memories with family. The community allows a variety of care levels, including assisted living, memory care, day and respite care, and independent living, and the staff works to make the place safe, home-like, and supportive for seniors needing some extra help.
